Try this.

Do not use all of your experimentation points at the same time!

on your first attempt use 3 points to effectiveness hit the experiment button and when it asks if you are finished click on no. Add 3 more points and experiment again. Keep doing this till you have no more points.

I think you may be surprised at what happens.

Also it does help to be standing by a high quality crafting station using a high quality crafting tool.

Sorry for spelling. Not my strong point.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, but I think the Theed thing has something to do with the public crafting stations. You can only make the more base-line items at those. In order to make the higher-end stuff, you need a private one. Also, on your medical droid (or private crafting station when you find one to use), make sure that it is a good one. Check the name of it as people usually name the good ones something like "Food and Chemical Crafting Station (+14.02) or something. I think the max you can get on a station is a +15, so plus 14.93 would yield way better results than a med droid with a not-so-good crafting unit in it.

Also, Zarlor has posted several times that a NEGATIVE rated crafting tool (not the station) seems to give better experimentation results. My experience is that Z is right about that. I have much better luck with my experimentation with my -13 tool than my +14.

It is funny that you mentioned the Crafting Station, last night I was in Theed behind the Med Center and when I attempted to craft my D Enhancments at the Food and Chemical Crafting Station it would only let me craft A's. I had to pull my droid out to make my D's.

Anyone know why this would be?

P.S. Thanks for the tip, I will try it out.

Several items require a droid with a crafting station to make. It's just the way it is.
