hehe, can someone tell the doctor corr. that heal enhance is at x 2 x x and not x 4 x x

hence buffing is at 90 med use at 0 2 4 0. Just saved ya 9 points. Do I get a brownie?

I think Agent was explaining that at 0440 a Doc can buff fairly high, due to the +75 (+100 with BE clothes) wound treatment modifier. At 0240 a doc can buff with D's, but his buffs will be much lower.

I was just stating that a 0 2 4 0 doc can buff just as well as a 0 4 4 0 doc. But his can rez!! woot!
If you're rebel and on chilastra, you get to use that quite often

and yeah, hehe, its 5 points.

but whats 4 points between fellow docs? (maybe thats why YOU'RE the corr and not me. eh?)

Actually, no he can't. His buffs will be lower.

I wont give you math lesson here, but 0240 cannot buff as well as 0440. If you want to see the calculations, look in the FAQ. There is a 300-400 point difference.

Just the fact that you can buff without being master at all irritates me. Buffing and rezzing should be master box only - reward those of us dedicated to the profession who spend the skillpoints.

What irritates me is master's complaining that they're not rewarded enough and demanding that abilities be taken away from non-masters of their profession.

I hated it when CH did and I oppose this just as much. If you want a reward, make it a reward of degrees. Reduce the wound treatement that a 0/4/4/0 has, and increase master by the same amount. As in: +5,+10,+15,+15,+20,+30 or some such....

Another possiblity is to give a new, usefull ability(what that would be, I don't know). Taking abilities away from a player that just got them is unconscionable.

The fact that Master Doctor holds very little benefit has been a Top 5 issue for... ever it seems. Original poster: you aren't going to get very far arguing that a "Master" Doctor shouldn't be the best at doing something, especially one of the few things we CAN do better than a dabbler.

Yes, but the same is true of the majority of the professions in this game.

More over, I was not arguing that Master Doctor should not have more benefits. I was arguing that those benefits should not come at huge expense to the people who are not masters. Reducing the effectiveness of an ability is acceptable, taking that ability away is not.

The problem I have with these arguments is that it's always the masters(who have nothing to lose no matter what abilities get shifted around) that are complaining. And, since they have nothing to lose, they don't care who gets hurt (or how severely) in the process.

Oh I completely agree with you, was never saying skills should be taken away... my Top 5 comment was refering to when someone said that being Master had little benefit was in the Top 5... and the rest of it was to the original poster.

so say a master doc and a 0-2-4-0 doc were using the same buffs, how much of a difference would there be?
