You are looking to nerf the wrong profession.
The Armorsmith forum is the place you seek.
They are the ones that can reduce an opponents attack by 90%, rendering buffs a moot point.
Those people with the uber armor want buffs for no cost special attacks.

Half of the people here that are all for the nerf to buffs, so it will make the need for "groups" more prevalent again. (no flame intended) Ya'll need to get new friends.
I have been a master doc for almost 10 months now. I have no desire to ever give it up. Not because i'm making XXX amount of credits being a mindless buff bot in coronet. But simply because I still enjoy the profession and with or without buffs, i'm still NEEDED.
First, we will start with PvP, where i am still needed greatly. and not only to buff before a raid. UM... you think the crying about CM's is bad now...imagine it without a Master Doc around.
Now, imagine the corvette or DWB without a Doc. wow, that sucks right? (yes, some might be ub3r l33t, and can do everything solo UGH...get a life...or find a 1st person shooter, you defeat the purpose of a MMORPG)
Now, group hunts...hmmm...maybe MDs don't need to be around constantly in those hunts the way they used to be. But ... you get the RIGHT group...and they WANT you around. Maybe it's my guild/server/whatever...but just for FUN, we have gotten a few group hunts together in the last few days. And we had 2 MDs with us, and scoured the planets. yes, everyone was buffed (all9 stats)... everyone carried brandy/canape/muon. But, they still WANTEDme and the other doc withthem.

Don't worry, i've voiced my opinon about armor too, both need nerfed.

/amen sister.
Buffs as they are, ruin the game. Noone even attempts to use strategy to take down a difficult NPC. People don't group anymore, they do "solo groups". Why? Because noone needs a group to do anything other than most difficult creatures in the game, such as the Krayt. People are soloing the Acklay for crying out loud. Noone should be able to solo everything in the game. Nightsisters are no match for a buffed player anymore. I remember when they were feared and everyone fled from a Nightsister. Now they're laughable. Playersjust charge in there and aggro everything and everyone at once and watch as the bodies eventually fall...Even a freak'in noob could solo Janta Shamanswithout breaking a sweat...and I won't even Mention TKMs that run around dantooine without a care in the world because they can kill anything in 4 hits or less. My best friend is one of them. I NEVER buff myself or wear armor. I run out to my lair. I pull out my T21 rifle and fire away for minutes at a time to kill one janta. Why? Because at least that's a challenge. There is some risk involved. A Shaman generally takes me about a minute to kill each. Takes about 5-7 minutes to do an entire Janta Shaman Camp. I saw a TKM do one is less than minute. Disgusting.

They need to play with armor a bit, before they knock down the buffs, imo. I play a wookie, and I can definitly tell you that that 30% difference in Kinetic protection REALLY makes a difference. Not to mention that we have no common PvP protection whatsoever. Getting hit with a headshot for 1000 points, while the guy next to me, wearing comp gets hit for 300 is just rediculous. That applies to all pools, not just mind. So I say, tweak the 'invincible' armor first, see how it plays, THEN, if there is still a major problem in their eyes, play with the buffs.
