you people dont realize this is an equality issue. we have crafting requirements for resources that are just as varied as an adv artisan crafter yet they get survey within thier novice profession and we dont get anything... if you people dont want to give docsor CMs or BEs or smugglers suurvey, fine. but if you want it that way, the resource numbers and types need to be lowered DRASTICALLY in order for there to be equality between the two profession types.


without a dedicated miner profession, it is unequal, unfair, and unbalancing to have resource requirements be the way they are for doc/cm/be/smug/medic if they are not given survey skills like artisan based crafters. if you have a dedicated miner profession that is sperate from all other novice trees, then its entirely balancing to keep survey away from us, but since devs removed that profession during beta (despite the great number of people who like doing it) anyone who crafts with restrictive resource requirements must have survey skill. its either all or none. not this half-arsed crap.

The solution is simple - get RID OF MEDICAL FORAGE.


Honestly, if it never would have been there to begin with, you wouldn't even know what you were missing.


All of the other crafters have to 'waste' points on artisan/surveying.


Just as you have a choice to harvest resources or buy them, you have the choice to spend the points needed to locate them or not.


Yes, medical forage is totally useless.


I vote they just trash it and mind wipe everyone MIB style that it even existed.

Yes, we would miss it because this issue was brought up in Beta, and hence /medicalforage was born because we did convince the Devs that some method of acquireing resources for Medics was NEEDED. Take it away, and the issue still exists.


None of the other true "crafters" have to "waste" points on survey. It is a skill thaty are given at the Novice level of Artisan. It is part and parcel of their professions. They pay nothing extra for it and it is a needed skill for allowing them to perfrom their profession.


With or without /medicalforage the imbalance would still exist.

I've given up on this fight long ago. Let's just go all the way and give all classes basic wound healing, sampling, dancing, and scouting. Everyone deserves some self sufficiency, don't they?
