On tarquinas yesterday i got rid of ranger for medic....i madenovice doctortoday and am very UNHAPPY to say that in all i got about 10 tips out of over 50 patients ( some of these were from the entertainers, i returned them and sent them /tells explainign that they were helping me just as much and they didnt need to tip me )

this pissed me off because i dont make my own stims i dont have the time too....soo i spent over 30k in stims and wound packs and got 3-4k back ;/

if I didn't ask to be healed and someone came up to heal me I wouldn't tip them as they did it because most likely they are trying to get xp

All doctors are powerleveling sociopaths who don't care about you except as an exp bucket? Don't healers /want/ to heal people?

Morven, that stinks.

Let me remind everyone again that #6 doesn't apply to master doctors because they really aren't getting anything at all for healing if they don't get tipped.(Unless you count someone saying "thanks")

Read through the orginal poster's list. Personally, I handle my affairs quite differently and do quite well in the 'tipping' department. For me, people PAY me to heal them and buff . They TIP me for doing things out of the ordinary, like rescuing them from the clutches of the clone facility perma-incap bug, or hitting them with 4 2800 point buffs in a row (his lucky night). Some of the 'tips' I saw, I'd actually recommend the exact opposite approach. Just goes to show you there is no 'correct' way to go about being recompensed in SWG.

My best advice to gain exp and money as a doc is first to get res- Then go to an advanced planet and look for a group- If you find a group that isn't overly powerful against its missions you should be able to spam heals on the various members and earn money as they cap the nests. Generally, if you are a good team-mate and keep players from taking long walks they will even tip you some of their blood money- I found that this is a far more effective way to earn experience then waiting for that rebel jerk who is bitter cause he just got blasted and has a ton of wounds to come into the med center and stiff you.

Doctors are practicly med center entertainers but their craft cost alittle money to them.

as general approach yourgeneral approach is good but still not getting tiped for service is considered rude. if someone doesn't tip me a make a funny remark about it , like "accepting loose body parts as tips" , or "or do you want to register as organ doner?" or something along those lines. if they just take off and doesn't tip you or his tip is disproporsionate to how much you heal . feel free to express your discontent - act less friendly , comment to other player when he/she leaves about that person not tipping or being a lousy tipper saying "cheapscape!" is usually enough.

and remember good tippers are your friends - yesterday some guy that tiped me about 14k once wondered into med center i hit him with full enhance Ds i told him it doesn't matter how much he tips me last time covers it. he still tiped me about 2-5 k or so i don't remember not that it matter. all the enhances i got were 1500-2300 too it's good to impress your customers.

healling people when waiting for a shuttle is good too but because it's out of place you should expect a tip not demand it. or you can ask for one up front for your service. and if someone ask you for a heal in a tell and you are doing something tell them what you are doing and they may offer you a generous tip.
