Thread: Solution to fix doctor
The 4000 doc IS overpowered, however this solution isn't the answer imho.
My sugestion would be split the 4000 skills over two trees, say 4400. Place infusion in one and jab in the other aswell as splitting the amount of healing efficiency gained over the two trees. Making it harder to be a dabbler.

Hehe although marrow is right, that if it happens to doc's it should happen to jedi, don't think that jedi are out-healing doc's. They may heal 1500 but after the healing nerf it's definately slower and more costly than the doc healing trees.

Oh I totally agree with you there Marrow. I'm not too happy with Jedi having to only get a single line of their healing tree and out heal master doctors and combat medics (we have to use expensive consumable enhancers get past 1500). Heck just moving their version of infusion to another tree would make alot of sense (of coursethey would cry like you wouldn't believe
)

I tell ya what. When this is done to Force Healer then we can talk CM and Doc. Until then.....

See, now that is actually a sensible idea and could be implemented in Combat Medic as well painlessly. No nerfs and the power of mastery is preserved somewhat.
Doc 4xxx heals for about 1100 with Bacta Shot. But then they have Bacta Jab, I don't know what the percentages are on that. And then there's Force Infusion vs. Bacta Infusion. Dunno the numbers there, either.
Doc 4xxx = 49SP
Healer 4xxx = 28 (+24) .
It is also important to note that a Jedi healer 4xxx is more powerful fundamentally than Doctor 4xxx.

What bothers me is waiting 30 minutes for a group, going out and hunting bols where hardly anyone gets hurt because there are 8 on 1 battles and when someone does get hurt they heal themselves and I feel useless.If docs are going to be forced to play a combat medic role, and face it we are, then we should be able to at least be usefull in it as ooposed to standing on the sidelines.Frostbite
Hmm, the only reason I hunt is for XP (trying to get to Master Doc, almost there). And I have come to hate the random groups on Dantooine. I'd rather wait a bit for a group to form from my guild or in my city. The groups run much more smoothly and friendly, though not so smoothly that I can't get a heal in on essentially every creature.
The reasons I became a doctor were because I just have fun playing that role, and I like to play that role on quests (solo or grouped, either way). Hunting is a means to an end for me, so if I'm going to wait, I'd rather wait on people I will enjoy hunting with.
