So I wouldn't have to keep standing in those long lines in Coronuts for buffs.

I like to support people in battle, I like the idea of being the one that chooses who lives and who dies.
I dont buff people for money anymore, I just buff the tanks in the group im in atthe time.

Well, my alt character was created to be a support character to my fighter.
My alt was first going for Combat medic but while leveling my guild discovered the usefullness of buffs. SoI redesigned my plan and created a Combat Medic/Doctor since I had no intention to line up in buff ques and pay hefty bills for that. I wanted to be able to buff myself whenever I wanted.
After I while I wanted to sell medical supplies so I dropped CM and kept Doctor. Haven't regret that for one second.

One day while waiting in a buff line at the Coronet Spaceport that stretched to Aktel City I said to my self; “self, this standing in line waiting for buffs sucks.” Now I’m a doctor!
Note to self; “self, figure out how to start my own shuttle service.”

I did it because some stupid blue box told me I had to (after resisting for 2 months... I had to give up dancing for it) then came to really love being a doctor. Its nice being able to give my hunting group just a little bit more support, especially since we like to play on the Corvette, the DWB etc.

By accident
I was going for Brawler/TKA/Artisan (had a weird idea of self sufficiency jack-of-all trades thing), when a more focused mate doing Brawler said "Look, here's a crate of 10 stim Bs". After I'd worked out what a crate of stim Bs was, & a few trips to the squill caves later, I was practically master medic, doc just followed on, with insane XP gain rates from the Squill caves.
Never looked back since, been a doc for 8 months or more now.
Iam.

I became a doc becouse I couldnt stand the fact that my weapon was killing me faster then the mob I was attacking, not to mention I actually wanted to wear a suit of armor, instead of the breastplate and an arm peice.

i was initially working on CH cuz i wasn't into pvp much, but i got asked to go on a base raid once... since i had master medic, i quickly found out that dragging incapped people out of the firefight was fun... but i couldn't rez so i had to just drag em to the nearest doctor which we were short of... i soon realized to help out our group i should get doctor myself, but i would have to drop the rest of CH...
slowly but surely i did, then found out curing poisons and diseases was important too (this was well before the huge increase in numbers of CM's) and the rest of the doctor tree was so useful!!! and i soon found out i wanted to pvp more and the best way to help out was as a master doctor...
i love the group thing, and being able to support a large group to accomplish a goal like base raiding... i have pistoleer cuz i figured i wouldn't be fighting much and just needed it for close quarter self defense while trying to drag incaps away... i've always thought of myself as a doctor first and fighter second... which is true cuz pistoleer sucks... but i'm gonna stick with it anyway...
doc 4 life!!!

Well, its very hard to find them at odd hours and places. I also like helping people, but don't get me wrong, if someone pisses me off or is rude, they are on the ignore list and will never get service from me again. I get all to much of that.

Then the other half of doctors look at this post and think...
- I can make up a good reason other then the fact that it is FOTM with combat profession
- I could not post and have everyone make the assumption I'm and FOTM doctor because I am
- I'm looking for a good way to make some quick cash, and the way I see people line up for buffs in coronet.... I got had to get in on that!

When I first started was never realy into combat but found that I was able to pay attention to the groups health and such and as we all advanced up in are proffs just went up medic then into doc as the stims got better and as need to heal more and larger hits. Have been a doc now for 8 months andI will not drop it for anything.
