Personally, I wouldn't have any problem letting CM's have the resist vaccines. Frankly, there are way too many things I have to carry around with me asa Doc anyhoo, and these new meds just exacerbate the problem. I don't necessarily think they need to be considered "enhancements"-- /applyvaccine would be more appropriate.


But the point blank area heals ... those are appropriately placed in the Doc line. They aren't ranged, so they don't infringe on CM territory in that regard. Area cures are a necessity because there is simply no other way to counter the devestating area attacks CMs wield.


One idea I floated earlier was to allow CMs how dabble in Doc to be able to use the point blank area cures as ranged area cures. Possibly by adding a ranged stat to the area cure which only CMs can take advantage of. Docs would "throw" the area cure 1-meter, while CMs would throw the area cure up to XX-meters.

as a fair compromise, i think CM's should have the innoculations so they can make money like us docs, and fling poo if they plz...


then us docs can keep the area cures to counteract em...


both professions have a way of making money, CM's won't own entire groups anymore, and docs will effectively counter em...

Sorry no pal, Docs got everything. Doctors are the most efficient combat healers in the game. Cms are left to pick up the scraps with the ability to heal a grand total of 5 out of 13 types of combat damage.

Only the buffs bother me as a cm/doc on my alt and rifle/fencer/dot whoring pike on my main. They made yet another component vital to pvp, not good. I shouldn't have to spend 30 minutes buffing myself in 20 different ways to pvp effectvively.

To be honest, CMs aren't supposed to be the ultimate healers in the game. Otherwise you would be called Combat Doctors. CMs are given the ability to do ranged things, such as healing and applying poisons/diseases, you are like an advanced Master Medic that can also dish out damage. You are trying to compare a CM to a Doctor when there shouldn't be a comparison as each class has it's own pros/cons. Sure Doctors get all the neat things like buffs/rez/cure states/poisons/disease/fire, but no offensive power in nature as it should be. CMs can target every single stat in the game, heal someone about to die 64m away, use "almost" every type of wound packs available, and heal the mind (even if it causes mind wounds its better than having someone die).

The power and skills given to Docs while not offensive in nature have a direct effect on the outcome of PVP. compare that to the power of poisons and disease with these changes and I as a Doctor have to agree it is overwhelmingly unbalanced in the favor of Doctors now.


CMs can target every single stat in the game, Doctors can buff practically every stat and heal almost every stat and 12 out of 13 types of combat damage according to his posts.

use "almost" every type of wound packs available,While they can use most wound packs they have nowhere near the bonus we do for wound treatment. In that respect they are just like a Master Medic. That argument is totally useless since it is a requirement for both professions.

even though they nerfed CM into oblivion... MOST CM's in the past couldn't care less about being healers in battle anyways... they were content with poisoning the crap out of everyone else... hence they were happy about being more about COMBAT rather than MEDIC...


me, you and grau'din are all from the same server and on the same rebel side... and i've fought with grau'din on many occassions and he was fully capable of doing both... so i guess he'll just have to be content with being a poo flinger still, but not as overwhelming as before... but in pvp it was frustrating to watch an entire raiding party with multiple groups go down to 1 CM, while 1 or 2 docs struggled to heal their group before they got 1 shotted... half an hour to an hour of preparing for a fight, only to get killed within 5 minutes...


and yes i agree with you guys that they shouldn't have nerfed CM's so hard (note my suggestion earlier about compromising for both sides) and now the balance of power is in our favor, but as a doc, thank god for the area cures now... regardless of who gets it... but since us docs have it, now i have to friggin go find some more resources!!!!


pvp fights will last longer in my opinion... it's a good idea to have area cures, but they shouldn't have given both area cures and poison resist buffs to docs... that's what makes it unbalanced again... give one or the other, but not both...


imho, there shouldn't be any poison at all or at least limit it to healable health and action... but it's in the gameso we just have to deal with it...
