A stim pack belt is a great idea. Have maybey just heal stim's and state cures on a belt that acts as equiped inventory.
Not a ton of extra space but a reasonable solution.

I know its been talked about before but Ill start it agan
Lets face the facts that no other profession has to carry as much stuff to do there job's than a doctor.

6 wound packs
4 state packs
disease packs
poisen packs
rez kit
fire blankets
stim packs
and now
2 more buff packs
2 more heal packs (may be slightly redundant with reagular disease/poisen but i have alot of them to use)
25 storage spots taken up. That does not include some of the extra's like bovili, craft stations, extra resources and crates.
Yes i have 3 droids for the extra 30 spots but u have to keep your crates/batteries some place.
I do think this should only be a master doctor skill and should be limited to lets say no more than 20 items.
Lets face it as a swordsman/doctor i can't go on 2 hunts with loot drops before im full. If everyone needed to carry 25+ extra items to use there toon as it was ment it would not matter too me that much..

hate to burst your bubble (and i agree with ya) but DE's by far have it worse.. you think we need a lot of resources and parts? Try master DE for a day... you would probably kill yourself..
