I'm gonna get TKMM/Master Doc. I'm 0/1/4/4 TKA/Master doc now, I'll likely drop artisan and scout (I harvest all of my own resources now) and get TKM and maybe some 2h or Pikeman. I use my doc skills now to heal and buff myself to solo or tank for groups. I've always been a combat doc.

I personally am keeping it. They changed doc to something that I use it as already. I am that doctor out healing at krayt hunts. I am that doctor keeping everyone alive on a corvette. All runs are successfull with only a few deaths because of idiots. So i LOVE the changes from what i see. Dropping Doc isnt an option for me.

I dropped mine last night, after reading evrypost the last two weeks in anticipation of the CU, it is not a benifit for me any longer. But i hope someone does, we might need them, or maybe not, according to the data provided thus far, it is a dead profession, and making money with it from my understanding is useless, to an extent, unless there is a last minute change somewhere. At least that is my understanding from the post i read so far.

I'm keeping Doc, for at least awhile.

What I find sad, is the people cancelling accounts, already deciding to ditch Doc, when that part isn't even live in TC yet. Nobody knows for sure what it'll be like, so it's sortof silly to give it up "right now".

I'm planning on keeping it, along with a good fighting skill (MB right now, still unsure what I'm doing with swordsman). I can't even say that I'll miss the buff lines, because I don't know for sure that they won't exist anymore, and there'll always be a need for a healer in a med center, at a SP, etc......and if you're MD, and not really interested in Jedi, then the loss of XP is no real loss, is it? Loss of income......well, I've never been rich anyway, I don't run buff lines that often, and I'm usually healing/buffing friends for free anyway, so I won't miss that part much, and crafting I never did.......it appears I'll still be able to craft "health meds", which is what I basically do anyway.

What's gonna make my decision for me is two-fold......it's gonna depend on how much "action" I get as a doc, without being in a group, and how hard it becomes to solo quests and such. If it's impossible to solo a quest, and my Doc skills are rarely used, then I'll probably drop it, and go for something else........but I won't make that decision for at least a month after the CU hits live. Gotta give myself time to adjust to it, and the other players time to adjust to the new role. Quitting now would be crazy.........I mean, who knows........people tip outrageously for VIP buffs, how will they tip for VIP heals? And we still can't test the new buffs yet, to see how they'll work, they could be just as essential as the current uber-buffs are.

I'm still waiting to see how things shake out, but if I had to decide today, I would probably drop doctor. I've been a crafting doc for a long time, never much for field work, so I'm not too excited about the way things are now. Who knows though, when it hits live, I might enjoy. We'll just have to wait and see.

I am also going to keep Master Doc until after the CU is released. When I see how bad the final nerf is or isn't, then I will make my decision. It i sad because I have enjoyed being a Master Doc for my guild, buffing and healingas needed. But with the changees who knows what will happen in the final release.

I'll be keeping doc after the CU. Personally I've always wanted to see a true healer class in SWG. It sucks though that those who enjoyed crafting are being screwed over though. :\

My favorite template has been tkm/doc. I never charged anyone for buffs but really never buffed anyone but friends anyways. I had doc in my template just so I didnt have to find a doc to go out and fight. Now with the buff reduction and removal of crafting, there is no way to justify this skill. 20% buff is not enough when you can use the same skill points and pick up real skills. Instead, I am going....

Brawler 4040

TKM

Medic 0400

Marksman 0004

Combat Medic master

Commando 4000

Strange how the Combat Upgrade has messed around with Crafting.

I'll probably keep Doc, never got into crafting - too much investment .

I've been a MD for well over a year now,i have no intention of dropping the proffession,Docs are still going to be needed,Just because they can't buff for 2600 anymore isn't a reason to drop it,nor the fact that they have lost the crafting line (and yes i spent millions on resources to craft as well) i shall proberbly just take up the crafting branch of BE...In fact im looking forward to some of the changes, not all of them but some of them..What i say to fellow Doctors is to try the CU when it hits live before making a decision, after all it is only on TCwhich means many changes may happen before it goes live!!!!
