I however agree very Strongly with Zelp that medicine crafting IS a doctor issue, how can it be a BE issue yet? All BEs right now have no clue what wedoctors are talking about with our medicines. Let it end up there after CU gone live, but for now Im willing to fight with Zelp on this even if I personally dont care if the crafting is in the BE tree line or in a doc tree line. They nerfed the medicines beoyend beliefe and they even tries to eradicate our resources...they sure dont like their doctor players in this game.

I just want to craft the many things I used to be able to craft, crafting is what kept me in the game when combat was borked for so long, then I learned how much fun Doc/Swords was!! Got a couple buddies to go rifles and we always had fun.
My point is that I will not be able to craft as much stuff, all my current resources I have are not worth anything near what they used to be, now I have to gather more resources, some very hard to obtain (fish,mollusks,crustatians), other resources that I dont have such as certain irons, gases, minerals.......
Where was it that we said there is too much to craft, or inventory issues? These were two of the reasons I read that they are making the changes, I just dont understand SOE's thinking, I havent really understood it for quite some time but I still had a fun crafting profession to play, and I was a real doc by going to the DWB, Corvette, NS hunting with friends a couple times a week, but that wasnt all the time, crafting was.
They could have done better than this with the doc profession, eliminating 70% of the fun I have in the game is a pretty good reason to be upset, I will give the new changes a chance and try them, but I think they stink and will probably cause me to leave the game, it was fun while it lasted though, I bought the game to become a BH and ended up a doc!

I understand the sense in curtailing the buff numbers, 1 peep soloing a Rancor nest was never meant to be. Changing character stats from 6 to 1 makes sense too, it will lower the item count on every server. BUT........ taking away crafting from doctors is ridiculous and doesn't follow realistic sense. Doctors should be able to make MEDICINE. Weaponsmiths make weapons, Armoursmiths make armour,Chefs make food......etc.
I am a merchant/doctor with a med shop that rivals any medshop on any server, (well, at least i think so) I can't run a profitable business by buying everything.
What will i need to do to keep running my med shop? What will my template look like?

And, not only are they making us buy our medicines from a bio-engineer--they are taking away our ability to make money using them...so how do we keep buying them?

I would like someone to point out (links please) where it was said that Doctors were never intended to be a crafting class and were instead meant to be pure combat healers (wth are CMs for then?). Why would they throw the high end schematics and last 5 exp points into Doctor if it wasn't the intent? If I had known that Doctors were not intended to have all the neat crafting dynamics and were instead supposed to just be a heal mule for combat professions, I never would have chosen to be one on the first day of Live.
I quit Anarchy Online when they finally acknowledged that they weren't going to include non-combat content like politics, research, and non-combat advancement in the various OmniTek/Rebel divisions. My doc there was relegated to EQ Cleric, just as it is becoming here.
I just hope they change the skill line titles for the Doc profession to be in line with thier combat oriented role now. I don't know of many Pharmacists and Medical Professors dodging the crossfire out on the front lines of combat.
