I've been testing templar/monk...ack, I meant Doc/TKM with some swordsman skills in CU as that's what I plan on doing when CU goes live...this template did put me at lvl 80, and I went to dantooine to test out (easier to find mobs between lvl 70 and 80...I know I wasn't supposed to...but )...I tried fighting 2 kungas (lvl 75 and 70), and they couldn't do much damage to me at all...only thing really slowed down the combat was quick action drain (TKM seems to have high action cost/drain...I don't recall having to worry about action when I was testing out Fencer.../ponder)

TKM animations are really boring in CU :/...I was under the impression that devs were supposed to make the effects and animation more eye-candish...but so far, I don't see it

Well to be honest i was upset with the changes in the function of Docs, Then i thought, im paying 15 bucks a months for the luxury of having buffs when ever i wanted. Now i play odd times, and usually die alot due to my constant lack of common sense, but Ive been on the CU for some time and to be honest me and a few mates were playing around with temps and dueling, this is what i found.

First i made an identical toon name and all, and most my friends laughed because that the first time they have ever seen her outside a 500 m radius of our town hall.

Anyway, i went MC/MD and took the 0/4/0/0 CM. I was absolutely amazed that i could hold my own. Im not saying that i two hit killed any of them. I just did a very good job of outlasting them spamming there specials. With 0/4/0/0 CM i was able to poison/dis/fire and attempted to apply what few states i had with a few charge shots for measure. Now i know 2 of my mates have just started the other day on TC however a couple have been on TC for sometime and has gotten use to the changes (well as use to the changes as anyone). With your ability to use the best stims and bacta shot you can outlast many others hams. Sorta odd i was mainly healing and using low ham specials to reserve my ham to keep up with the damage. Additionally, you have the ability to clear states, heal pois/dis. To be honest a whole different mind set, since only health is the attackable pool. I will be rethinking most my toons and if medic skills are even more needed now than pre-curb. In a word those that really enjoyed the old system has every right to be upset, because what you did in the past no longer exists in the CU. However, i think you might be suprised when the curb hits that there will be as many docs online as before, they will simply be in a different role.

Side note, if you group hunt alot with mates, you could always pick up 4/0/0/0 CM and your a healing machine. I did this tonight as well, and before i crashed, I had alot of fun being the group healer.

Comabt medics can probably heal aswell as docs if they use enhancers.
So really i have no idea why anyone would be a doc, what is the point?

Easy answer their making doctor what it USED to be. A healer and rezzer. I remember when there was nothing but group hunts and the doctor was the MOST important part of the hunting group because only he was such a powerful healer and because he could rez. Buffing wasn't even a consideration.

Remember when people would spam looking for doctor for group? And sometimes our group leader would offer to pay 50k to a doc who would join us. Frankly going out in the field beats sitting at MOP using a macro buffing people for the same stats for 12k a buff. :-Þ
