THe item indeed says Enhanced Bivoli Tempari and it actually looks like Bivoli...I've used real bivoli before, so I know what it looks like....the guy was kind of to refund my credits. He did say this is a VERY old crate of bivoli and I'm betting that when the chef foods came out, they revamped it to be more meaningful...now, I'm not a chef, so I can't verify this, but it wouldn't surprise me that the effects of the food were modified during that publish. So, as of right now, i'm good.

I've had biovoli in the 25.6 ish range before. And yes, every little bit counts towards better buffs. I've taken 25.1 and 25.6 and I noticed a small strength difference. Not by much mind you, but just a wee bit.

Not only is the mod capped at +25, but only the whole number matters for any bivoli (+24.9 = +24). The system ignores the decimal part. I confirmed this myself a while ago.

You never saw the pre-revamp Bivoli? That was one of the better sellers, along with Angerian Fishak.

Way back in the deep beforetime when all foods gave a stat buff (aka before February), Bivoli buffed around +180 Mind for 10-15m (and yes, that was one of the top-level food buffs). After the revamp, Bivoli changed to the current +wound treatment. However, all crates/stacks created before the revamp retained the mind buff.

Bivoli was also one of the few foods pre-revamp that could take BE tissues, since those could only go into a couple components at the time. That probably explains the "enhanced" status and higher buff.

LOL. It 'pwns' does it? ROFL.

Yes, the whole whopping 1% between 24 and 25 Bivoli is a killer. Fear the uber 1% gain - that'll make the difference between winning and losing. lol

can anyone else confirm that the decimal is ignored in bivoli? from my experiences the decimals are always factored in things like crafting and such even if they are unseen as in crystals/pearls in sabres. I sure thought that the decimal in bivoli made a bit of a difference :/

Just wanted to clear something up on this. Skill bonuses from food do not have a cap. This has been tested with several foods like Veghash (+creature harvesting) and Thakitillo (+Defense vs. KD). The decimals do get rounded down, though, so the bonus from +25.0is the same as +25.5 is the same as +25.9 (at least, all the tests I've seen report this).

With Bivoli, though, +26 is nearly impossible to hit. It would take an uber BE additive and 98% nutrition experimentation, and I doubt 980+ OQ/PE Carnivore meat has ever spawned anywhere.

Hmm, according to swgcraft, Chimera has some 993PE/989OQ dath carnivore meat in shift...
