Thread: Gave up my master doctor certificate
I read the starting post and that's it. This guy really deserves no reply at all.
He was a master doc for 1-2 weeks and he only found 600/600 avian meat.
WAIT LONGER.

You are on Bloodfin arent you? Ive seenyou Mope and yes, you looked like a "**edit** noob".
I get paid 8-10k per round of buff. Patients is virtue.
Darn lack of an edit button...
Patience is a virtue.
Buffed a couple of people for 2850+ today, averaging 2k at least per buff.
Dpack requires 250 res. With average price 7cpu it is like 1500 per 20 charges pack, and that guy want 2k for just one use! LOL
5k is standart price for 6-stat buff, and i am sure it is very high, still i ask 5k too. 5k for 750-800 based pack might be ok, but such good avian is rare. Master doc is a gold chicken, making money from air just sitting onDatho or Endor.

majors. Yes Avian meat is very difficult to buy, and for the life of me I can't seem to find a mob that drops it in big quantities. I have offered to buy it in 500 lots from any youngish player who
naboo: giant peko-peko
corellia: gulginaw
Those are the first two to pop into my mind, both yield pretty good harvests, especially now with shared harvest working nicely in a group.. just grab closes 10 newbs you can find, tell them they can come assist you while you and your pets tank the mob (free xp for them) and also tell them you'll pay for all the meat they harvest off the corpses..
A couple of hours later, thousands of meat. Doing this with herbivore for stimpacks.
Also, give contracts to rangers, they harvest pretty well.

I think I know the answer to that. Most Docs probably finish out all of their Med XP lines before finishing out the crafting line. So they get that last box AND Master Doc all at the same time, so they see all of the new schematics and the extra EP all at the same time and probably make the assumption that they got a lot of that at Master, because for them it looked like they got it at Master. That's my guess. ![]()

Quite possible, I cannot for my life understand why there isn't more incentive builtin to master doc except to get 'master doctor' in your title.. which still imho sounds worse than master surgeon or master chemist..
Could it be that SOE forgot to put skillmods into master doctor, almost all other elite masters get additional skillmods iirc.

well, after about 1-2 weeks being master doc, well, i gave it up, reason? simple, boring, enhancing isnt that great.
If your focus really was on how much money being a Doc could get you...I'm glad you dropped it.
Mope1 I feel your pain. I dropped doc too after making Master Surgeon (4/4/3/2). I got sick of the whiners/stiffers and overall having to sit in the med center to make a living......paltry as it was. To those of you that say, you can't let someone else bugg you or determine you course of action, well that maybe true, but I just got sick of arguing. I don't play a game to argue about my prices/polices or whatever.....if someone is charging less, go find them...those are my prices.
I originally picked up doc cuz I really enjoyed helping ppl and the added benefits to my hunting were nice. However, being constantly broke and seeing my other friends, in other professions making all sorts of money, forced me to dump the Doc title. Now I don't regret it at all. Im having a ton-o-fun asa nov ch/nov be. So I can certainly relate. I also made more money in 1 week as a CH then I did in prolly 3-4 weeks as a doc. Sure hope the devs address the tipping issues.....there just has to be a better way, although I'm at a loss as to what that better way is.
Anyways, good luck in your new profession. I hope you find it as rewarding as I have found CH to be.
