macro express would be nice and all but.... to my knowledge there is still no possible way to "macro" adding the resources to the slots. so no afk crafting as far as I know.

As far as Macro Express and such program goes, I think its not exactly legal to use them? Using the built in Macro is one thing, but I think third party programs are not allowed.

A third party program (macro express is only one of many) can click the resources for you and do crafting entirely afk. It will not however buy or harvest for you the 1.5mil+ of wheat and fiber it will take to grind out the FS crafting xp we need. /cry

lmao I thought "macro express" was just being used as a slang term for macroing thru the grinding using the in-game methods. I had no clue it was an ACTUAL third party program

Lol, no, its an actual program name. In any case, I found the cap for Medical Crafting and its only at 44000 experience points.

Edit: Sorry to ask this, but, I would like to confirm if its possible for us doctors to actually get and do the crafting quest? This is directed at those who didn't use their free unlocks, or did not have any free unlocks and tried the crafting quest. My friend was complaining he couldn't do the Senses quest as he does not have Master Medic, so I'm wondering if we will be subjected to the same rules for the Crafting one.

Believe it or not, a master-grinder friend's advice to me was to pick up novice architect and grind gungan heads to get the crafting xp for these two lines. Any crafting will do it, not just med crafting.

I was looking into this just now, as I wanted to get 3 crafting lines.. this is what I came up with though my numbers are probably off...

1,225,000 for one branch FS xp

3,675,000 for 3 branches FS xp

18,375,000 medical crafting xp needed at 5:1 rate, with a cap of 44,000 which means converting 409 times

I was crafting wound A packs in practice mode (no ABEC grind material on hand, will look into it though) and here is what I came up with:

592,741 wound a packs
9,483,870 resources needed
54 DAYS of solid crafting

I pray that ABECs are better than this. Docs dont craft in volume or huge amounts of resources in 1 craft, and even if the ratio was 1:1 getting nearly 4 million med crafting xp would be a daunting task. This is insane, I dont want a jedi I just want crafting abilities.

The horrible part of it is that I converted over combat and UA xp - got 140,000 FS xp NO PROBLEM.. it was capped in about THREE HOURS. If thats not total crap compared to the artisan grind, I dont know what is.

yes and if you are caught using a third party program that is insta bannage.EULA violation unless they have changed it.

From what I understand (and I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong!) the FS tree will increase your med assembly and med experimentation skills.

I do not know whether they will go over the +125 skill cap, but I have heard that it is not possible to get actual extra experimentation points with the FS crafting tree. (No 14-point docs )

I'd love to hear from someone who's actually opened this branch and tried it what their experiences were.

It does not give you the extra 2 points even as a 10 point doc. I don't see only a slight benefit and I have mastered both.

I did a little maths concerning my FS template of Crafting 4400, and for the 2.5 million FS Crafting experience, it works out to about 12.5million Medical Crafting exp. An ABEC gives 84 MCXP at the cost of 18 Tatooinian Fiberplast and 18 Lokian Wild Wheat. Assuming no failure etc which gives no experience, that works to 148,810 ABECs to be crafted for the exp. That will be 2,678,580 units of resources of each type. Note: This is assuming no failure. Assumingyou don't harvest, or can't harvest, at2cpu resource cost, it will cost 10,714,320 credits (or 10.72 million rounded up) for all these resources. And we know its not likely to get that many units of resources for 2cpu all the time. Its sometimes less, usually more. Also I might highlight again, this is assuming NO failures. How long it'll take, I don't know, but I tried 3 days straight of crafting and to tell you the truth, I'm wearing down. I ended up spending the last 2 days lazing around, and fighting somewhat.

Formula below:

50,000 + 2(175,000+250,000+350,000+450,000) = 2,500,000

Medical Crafting Exp : FS Crafting Exp Ratio = 5:1

2,500,000 * 5 = 12,500,000 Medical Crafting Exp Needed

ABEC Crafting Exp is 84 Exp, requiring 18 Lokian Wild Wheat and 18 Tatooinian Fiberplast

12,500,000 / 84 = 148,810 ABECs (Rounded up to the nearest whole number)

148810 * 18 = 2,678,580

Buying at 2cpu resource cost for both resources

2(2,678,580 * 2)= 10,714,320

Im crafting FS experimentation and may craft assembly. I am making Heavy warhead mechanisim in the 0020 tree in weaponsmith. It gives you 700 xp per craft, or 735 if you practice (+5%)which equals 147 fs xp. I think this is by far the best way to grind FS crafting. It does use quite alot of resources however needing 180 metal, 80 gas, 50 radioactive, 40 steel, 10 ineart gas, and 10 polymer per unit.

There are alternatives however you could craft adv droid unit at 440 xp perunit +5%which equals 92 fs xp. It is also light on resources only using 150 steel and 70 fiberplast. But the trade off is you dont get as much xp with the Heavy warheads.

The other two alternatives are the x-34 landspeeder which gives you 1800 general crafting xp per unit divide by 8 + 5%equals 236 fs xp. It gives great xp but this requires an enourmous amount of resources 3125 ferrious metal and 1125 non ferris metal per unit. Plus you have to master artisan. You would have to have alot of money to do it this way. If you do it is quicker then the Heavy warheads. All depends on how much cash you have.

The final alternative is gungan heads in the architect tree 0100. This gives 5000 structure crafting xp +5% divide by 35 equalling 150 fs xp. The down side with this is that it is also resource intensive using 2000 low grade ore and 1000 gemstone. With only 3 xp more over the Heavy warheads which cost alot less resources.

In closing for me its the Heavy Warheads. As Adv droid unit is too slow, and the landspeeder or gungan head is too expensive. I recommend you harvest the first 3 resources yourself if you choose the Heavy warhead ie 180 metal, 80 gas and 50 radioactive. Using 5 heavy mining installations 4for metal and 1 for the radioactive. U can use radioactive to power yourother installations as well. I also recommend 2heavy gas installations. The rest you can by on the bazar or a vendor. Also note you dont need good quality ore as youare practicing.

Hope this helps
