Pre CU healing wasn't really needed, post CU everyone is healer so being a healer really has no point.

I usually work as crowd control in groups since I have the CM paralyse and that's pretty fun.

really no purpose for docs, unless someone wants a lame buff for 30 minutes, healing can be done by other proffs or by sitting in a med center. whats the use.

I have been a Novice Doc for a few months now. It is very, very, very, very, very hard to get enough med xp to gain another skill. To even get a good amountfor every kill, and by good I mean 1000, you can only group and then heal. If you solo missions then you will not get enough xp to even make it worth the while.

I usually get /tells in game for heals or something and thats what I played the game for. However my only reservation is not getting xp from healing wounds in the medcenter, thus causing me to go out and fight. I formed a Medical Union on Corbantis to look out for the intrests of all those in the Medical field, and also come up with unique buisness opprotunities and they seem to feel the same way.

Do or do not do, there is no try.
And to show you how the Devs have lied:
"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, ?How can we do this and not make another EQ?? We didn?t want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we?ve created a system to make that happen."

Hmm, I spend a lot of time supporting hunting groups, whether from my guild or from a sister guild in the same town. I group with a couple of CL80s (sometimes even we get a full group where I'm the only non-CL80), we hit the mission terminals, and I never even draw my weapon. The XP rolls in, they're happy because they have a successful hunt, and everybody's happy because we're getting another doctor.

That said, it also seems to be the only reliable way to make any money as a doctor. I heal wounds for some people and get the occasional tip, but those are few and far between. All my income is from mission credits, selling loot, and from other skills (I'm still a Master Artisan, for example). I love being a doctor, but it's not a particularly great way to make cash. I have a ton of fun, though, and that's all I really want out of the game anyway.
