The devs have said that they removed it because ANYONE could use the colors, and they are looking into re-instating the feature for the Merchant profession. This would be a great addition to merchant, as the premium listing is worthless.

But I miss being able to have different colored names, to help distinguish my items in inventory. Wound packs were one color, state packs another, enhance kits another, etc. Now it's hard to find anything in my bloated inventory
