My jedi was bugged to another guildie who took a BH mission against her. Before we knew what was going on, and the nature of the bug/tef, any doc who buffed me was attackable by that BH. So, on my doc one day, i was slumming myslef out to coronet buff lines, charging 8-10K. Along comes another doc, started charging 30K. I was shocked. I sent him a tell asking why so much, only to get a very rude "S T F U, mind your own, ...." reply. I told him fine, i'll leave, you can have em all. More name calling, rudeness..so..I um llogout, login my jedi, who was right down the road getting BF reduced. I go up to the doc, ask for a buff, get one...and that BH guildie comes in and kills him.
Log off the jedi, log in my doc. Look at his corpse, send him a tell "Damn, buff lines are a bit rowdy today huh?", then offer to rez him for 100k.
Moral of the stories: Rudeness, no matter from a Jedi or a Doc, isnt tolerated, and ther are ways to deal with it.
30k for a buff in Cnet??? Dear God, was he getting ANY business??? That is insane! I can see someone paying that, MAYBE if it was a VIP line... But for normal line buffing?
/sigh. Yes. But that is not the norm. Most of them are 10-15K. Im sure every server has the docs that charge very high comparitivly. They DO get business. I very rarely do buff lines anymore, and I do them in LOW traffic areas. I charge 12-15k, depending on the buff sets I use, and my mood.
In my player city, I charge 20k if asked. If a visitor walks by, sees me buffing a guildie in Serenity, and asks, 20k. I am not there to waste time for people I could care less about (yea yeah...wonderful doc attitude..). I do not wear a doctor tag, and did not solicit his business. /Shrug. On the other hand tho, I do only charge 5k for non-guildie citizens of the city to balance things out.
I do fall victim to weakness. I was in C-net, listenign to spammers, looking for a new resourse vendor that was cheap. A fellow rebel that I PvP with a lot recently asked me for a buff. Gave him a discount (normally free to him if we are battling together). Someone else comes up and asks for buffs. He is from the neighboring town..rivals of sorts. We love to hate each other. I look at him, <omen> 50k for buffs, 908 base. He laughed, and I thought he would leave. I then tack on 100k if you want bivoli....just to be a RP wench that I am. Sure enough, tip for 100k came through and I was shocked. I really didnt want to buff him, since he is the enemy, btu 100k is 100k, and well, he got his nice bivoli buffs. He didnt complain, or nothing, which ws rather nice. It was 4am tho, so I guess he gotta take whats there.
I am not for price gouging. I hate buff lines with 10k doc here, and 30k docs over there. Yes, a lot of people can afford 30k, and not bat an eye. Noobs, they can't. I cant count how many noobs I have buffed for free in my travels. I'll chat with them as they learn to drop Meatlumps in under 2 minutes, and if they are polite..out comes "Buffster" and they are set with buffs. If they are rude, well, they are on their own.

Thats awesome, I have a similar story:
So a few days ago im sitting in Coro buffing folks. I decide to close the line and finish buffing the peeps who paid. Im just about to leave when all of a sudden, I get a tell from this guy saying "DUDE BUFF ME NOW HURRY PLZ !!1". I'm like...oh great some noob who doesn't understand "Closed". So I say, "Listen bro, I'm closed, sorry." He tips me 100k and says "BUFF ME NOW"...oooh 100k, I consider it. Not missing a beat, another guy sends me a tell, he says "Don't buff him, buff me!". Oh great...two retards who can't read. I say, "Listen I'm buffing this guy cause he'll pay me 100k..sorr." He sends me a tell saying that as apposed to paying me for a buff, he'll tell me that that man is a jedi, and that he is a BH with a mission. Since I dislike Jedi for the most part, I take him up on his offer. I pop a havlah, buff him, and watch as he proceeds to pwn the Jedi. He finishes up and /hi5s me. I got to see a Jedi get pwned with my help...what a day. Best part is, I still have that 100k from the Jedi

Ok, hang on, I have to check my rules of being a jackass/griefer or not.....
Let's see, tripple incapping, clone camping...nope, I don't see anything about refusing a buff. LMAO, good story.
