Why don't you collect the meat yourself and save yourself your 100-200cpu?

On Tarq, it seems the only good Avian spawns are on Tat. The only creature there that drops it are Nunas and they drop a whopping 4 to 5 units per kill. That means you have to find and kill 200 of them to get 1k of meat. They are one hit kills for most professions but it can take hours and hours to just get 1k. Most people can get 200k running missions, even surveying missions, faster. And talk about boring. I spent 2 hours running around Tat and ended up with less the 100 units. Two hours for 21k is tough to justify when I can run one mission for 31k.

make friends with a ranger and a deal for free buffs against plenty meat.
it's really not that hard and both parties win out of it

this will be a shocker, lowca is so dry... we've not had good avian in ages... buffpacks prices are rising and rising... and doctors are continuously being harrassed for charging 12k per buffs...but then we're paying that much PER UNIT for any avian meat they gather for us...

This is all very stupid. Stupid people paying stupid prices. There is no way I would pay that much for it.
Notice that the Thread poster has put a /cry command on the front of his statement. That's a cry of madness and insanity. Anyone gota straight jacket?

Many farstar'ian doctors paid 200cpu for coro avian while in shift and since its shifted prices have skyrocketed on the trade forums for b/w 470 cpu and 530 cpu depending on how lucky you are .... stats are as follows ....
DR: 816
PE: 925
OQ: 998
At the same time that thas was in shift, we had a VERY close shift on yavin not quite there ... but being that its so much easier to get yavin ... I gladly paid 100 cpu for the yavin stuff to get a nice stock (90k of it actually ... lol) with the following stats:
DR 906
PE 956
OQ 872
PE 956
OQ 872
Sure it's not the "best" but damn .... it's got longer duration and damn close in final power ... (though i haven't made any final combines yet to check exactly )

You will get 0.25 more charges, 24 more power (66 on the actual buff), and 23 fewer seconds of duration with the good meat. You made an outstanding purchase. The only downside is, depending on your other resources, you may have trouble breaking 900 power on the buff (which is more of a psychological barrier to purchasers than anything else - an 890 power will still buff for over 2400). I suspect that this was a case of everyone seeing the 998 OQ on the first meat and ignoring the lower PE and DR which removes much of the power and all of the duration hit from the OQ difference.

This is you amigo, many people have different reasons for paying this much. I for one sell buff packs for a living, and can make a profit paying up to 500 cpu, so I would gladly pay 300 cpu for awesome meat that would buff well, make a product I'm proud of, and make my customers happy. You probably only personally/friend buff, maybe the rare commercial buff...I can't say for sure, I don't know you, but for someone that doesn't have heavy buffing/crafting activitiy as a doctor then you can have 50 sets last you months. 50 sets would last me about 3 weeks, so I need a lot of meat
Figured I'd put it in perspective.
