I have some AS resources that would sell well over 100 cpu without a problem. Some avian that has sold for over 800 cpu with in the last week too.
Maybe i'll just go into the resource biz....
With an end to hologrinding..... I thought the resource biz wasn't the sach cow it used to be.

I bought a lot of my grinding resources off the bazaar. Was a lot cheaper and I didn't need high quality.

Having the best resources and making the best stims and buffs is a big pissin contest on Gorath. Yeah, great, I can make power 935 health buffs. I can even sell them for twice what anyone else charges. But it's all in being able to say that you made the best.
That's why PE 931, OQ 929 Class 4 that spawned over 15 months ago will always be worth a ton.

I don't see it as a "pissing contest" on radiant, thankfully. A guildie of mine makes the best buffs I have ever seen on our server, and I don't even try to compete with him. I just make the best I can make, sell em for what I think is reasonable in the tent right next to his, and go on about my business. I don't see anyone on our server get into competition over buffs, since I started Doc all of the crafting docs I have run into were actually quite helpful and/or veryfriendly. I'm greatful for that and I love this server

A long while back sunnrunner had a long dry spell of no class 4, the previous spawn of it was the best we ever had, as crafters started running out and spaming the boards with looking to buy posts, some of the pp that had mined a great deal of it and were just waiting for the right time to sell started stocking there vendors, starting price was 50 cpu, I thought that was rediculous and refused to buy at that price, then it soon jumped to 70-80 cpu, well my sales were already starting to hurt, figuered customers would vanish, but I was outraged at the steep cost, so outraged I quickly bought up a few hundred k units, it was sorely needed, then I was cursing myself for not being happy with 50cpu and grabbing that up while I had the chance, never seen it sell for 100 cpu on our server yet, but the lesson I learned there, whenever class 4 is in spawn I pull all my factories and any other harvestors and imediatly drop 8 heavy chems on a good spawn spot.

Heh, yup - I got caught with overpriced Class 4 now to. But there was a long time that Class 4 wasn't even spawning - never mind a high quality spawn.

Get used to it. I was paying 120 cpu for a 998 oq spawn of meat from yavin. Could only buy like 10k of it. So, I decided to pick up novice scout and now i harvest my own with a harvest droid.

yes not a surprise to 150 to 200 cpu in kauri for avian meat 900+ 900+ stats.

it was up at 100 cpu on bria too, badly overpayed to get some, then new best ever spawn came and I'm sure we have tons of that now... to last a year at least... so dont buy too much, there could always be a better spawn soon. I wasted millions like that.

On Naritus we had 1000OQ Class 4 Liquid spawn a couple months back and since everyone has Heavies nowadays that still only goes for 10-15 cpu in Auction.
I am sitting on about a Million Units of it right now and will never use all of it I am sure. I completely agree with the previous poster that said if something 90% as good is going for 10cpu then go ahead and use it and let the other people fight over the 100-150cpu stuff. Then you just have to sit back and wait for good spawns and the pounce on the good stuff with all you got. I just mined 1.2Million Units (with only 10 Heavies) of some 954 OQ Dolovite also.... The Do-It-Yourself way always works better and you'll have more resources than you know what to do with.

Elood, I don't know if you were a doc on SF but I remember when we had a gap of about 2 1/2 months where NO class 4 spawned, almost a year ago... the prices on it then were pretty nuts, it was about the time that the resource economy on SF started to get WAY outta wack, and people were paying 5-6 CPU for grind resources, rofl.

The thing with this stuff (and a lot of other Doc resources) is that the 10cpu stuff is almost as good as the 100cpu stuff so the only people that are going to have a huge interest in the 100cpu stuff are the PvP'ers that need the absolute best and want those extra 20 or 30 points that the 100cpu stuff will give them.
Same thing happens with Weaponsmith resources. The best copper to ever spawn might go for up to 1000cpu (We had some Fefeor Platinite Copper on Naritus that got up around there) even though there is another copper that is maybea point or two less of damage to a weapon going for 5cpu. It's amazing but you will always have people wanting to pay a premium for the best.
This scenario of course is out the window for the situation mentioned above where it just doesn't spawn for 2-3 months. In situations like that everyone has to pay the huge price because their second option is nothing.

Ummmm, not to mention that you're talking about the first MONTH of the game. No one hadharvesters worth anything. If your spawn date information is correct then not much of it was mined anyway.
