Thread: Scematic 100 max?!?! time to double or triple prices....

Holo's post to start the threadsuggested that there were database issues but did not clarify what those issues might be. Other than that he only said that it was not originally intended to be this way.


Being a computer science person I can certainly not decipher what those database issues would be. To me smaller schematics will only lead to more information being stored relative to the same number of items. But I don't have all the details obviously.


Other than that I think making this change just because it was designed to be this way would be a poor reason indeed. I can't come up with any good reason that a player would want schematics to be restricted to be smaller. If you didn't want 1000 just put in a smaller number... if people have resources for 1000 why force the tedium and hassle of restarting the factory 10 times?



Anyways I do hope that Holo's reply post indicates that he is not intending on making that change. It seemed very noncommital.Last I checked there were close to 600 replies.Nearly all of them that I read either said it was a horrible idea or that it would not affect them. Certainly no one seemed toactually see any benefit toit.

I bought 4 factories bcause I was doing 4 100 use schematic runs on all my components then on day 4 would make crates of stim b's. It is such a pain, if they keep it so we can do 500-1000 run schematics I would be able to go back to 1 or 2 factories and make more stim b's in the same time frame.

So they are going to limit schematics to 100, just to allow us to make 10 of 100 and run them, making the same run length, with 10 different types of items?

Dont see this happening.

hey anyone ever notice that when you type 10,000 in the popup says that the scematics can only go from 1 to (1000)..... hmmm


unless they made this bug twice, one for allowing 1000 and one bug stating again that 1000 COULD be made, im starting to doubt it was a bug.


I think the origional bug was not being able to make...oh...756 on a scematic. Now they decide to lower it and use the origional bug as a coverup story to make people think, "Oh if it wasnt ment to be like that, then ok."

Raising the price would not help to defray the costsof babysitting your factory. For me; time is the biggest cost right now in the game. The time involved to check and keep four factories running, that could only produce 100 item lots at a time would be great. Raising your prices would not stop that hinderance, it would only drive customers away.


If the devs are dead set on lowering the schematics to 100 max, which I haven't heard that positively. Then maybe some type of extra automation for factories would be in order. Such as lining up four factory jobs that run one right after another. In the end though this is causing more dev time to create the automation when the community is happy with the 1000 limit.


The only reason I could think that the devs would want to change this is maybe linked to numbers, thier databases are handling too much data and thier are trying artifically to slow down things. I don't know.
