i would recommend trying to find other docs that are buying meat until u get some money

if u have 1k of that meat, if its good and a doc is paying like 100 cpu for it, thats 100k creds right there to buy some buffpacks with. avian meat changes so often that you'll never be able to get a lot of it on your own that you can mass produce packs with unless u play 24/7 and have uber combat template.

when i get avian i pay small guilds and groups to either get it or go with me, i dont have the bank yet to be able to purchase large amounts of avian at a high cpu.

When an uber avian meat spawnsI drop merchant/artisan and pick up scout/marksman and harvest it myself. No way am I paying 300-350cpu for something i can get for free. I also use a harvesting droid and veghash to give me harvestbonuses (they stack). The last uber spawn we had I harvested 17k of meat on my own. Considering I do not sell buffpacks, only sell buffs occasionally 17k is more then enough to get me by until next spawn. I have a slight advantage though, I am a wookiee with a bowcaster and rifleman CA/AA so even at novice marksman I can kill quite efficiently.

And when it comes time to buff people...I am always the lowest price other docs on my server often get up and leave when i start advertising my stats/prices.
