And we left out the enhance pet/store pet exploit which you can do solo.
But if you are willing to get medical exp without using exploits, my suggestion is to simply use every type of med you have in your arsenal. When in the med center, if you have healed your last patient, offer to give them free buffs (even if they are A level). Always ask, but if you offer, most people will say yes.
Get a medical droid and heal wounds while waiting at starports.
Hang out at the cloning center on Lok (with a droid). More wounded people are there than in the Lok med center. Most people will happily take your buffs here as well, even though they aren't master doctor buffs (just let them know what to expect in terms of time before they wear off).
Of course craft during any downtime you have. Use macros. Chain about 5 stations together and craft BECs, or ABECs or whatever you have the resources for that give you the most crafting exp.
Go on hunting parties. The experience is better if you have area stims from the combat medic tree, but you can get good exp as a doctor if you focus on healing rather than shooting.
Several people have mentioned getting exp healing pets. I am new to the medical field, but I thought I read some place, weeks ago, that we no longer get experience for healing pets, or has that been fixed again?

You get exp for wound healing and enhances on pets, but not damage healing. So when I needed exp, I would stop feeding my pet and wait for a nice 300 or so wounds to pile up and heal them. Obviously that is not a fast way to get exp (unless you have a commando friend willing to fry your pet).
The enhancesused to beexploitable. I'm not positive that they still are since I was unable to re-buff my pet after storing it last night (said there was already a buff on the stat).

Were you buffed when you tried to buff your pet? The other day I tried to buff my pet while I was buffed and got the same message. I had targeted the pet, opened my inventory and from the radial menu used "use on target". That is when I got the message. Later I tried a macro. I targeted the pet and used /healEnhance harm, and it worked just fine.
