it's ok man, I could use the business

Never really had the problem. I mean what else did you become master doc for? I dont think I have honestly ever had anyone give me the "buff plz" routine. Most people are very willing to pay good cash for buffs.

lol at least we aint hearing "no need to pay for bufs they get xp which is payment enough"

Was in the tavern on Dantooine the other night... selling buffs. Player walks in and sends me a tell asking If I would buff him and heal his wounds (3/4 of his bars were black)... Sent back sure... 5k for the buff and 1k to heal the wounds. I heal his entire health bar in 2 shots and hit his action bar once and he starts sending me tells complaining that these better be "some" buffs cause he's only ever paid 4k for a buff AND a heal. I stopped healing him and told him I really didn't need his business... packed up my droid and headed for the starport. He follows me out there... emotes and spits on me, challenges me to a duel and then yells out loud - " Don't get buffs from Bowoci... hes a ripoff"

Even after that... I plan to go back to Dantooine and work the Tavern again

For PvP reasons I have always gone around as "Novice Scout". I've never had the "buff plz" problem even though I have the largest stockpile of buff packs on my server

Oh the people that say, "this better be a **edit** good buff" and stuff like that I'd be happy to say there areother docs like me who get very easily agrivated by customers with that attitude on the board. Ty for the support and I know to just tell them to take there buisness elsewhere instead of trying to explain to them the whole concept of a gamble only to realize theycan bevery stuborn.

I usually buff anyone who asks and have never charged anything for it. Many people remember my name and visit my shop on Talus in return.

I really hate the word 'buff' in game. I generally do not enhance people who run up and say, "Can you buff?" and directly afterwards, "How much?" before I even think about replying.. those guys usually get ignored, but i do have my roleplay box checked all the time.. most f the times, I'll make some sort of comment about not fixing paint jobs or not being a speeder detailer shop.

If they're good about it, maybe play a long instead of simply saying,

"**edit**, your dumb,"

then I'll treat them as I would any other patient. I love telling people that send me a /tell while I'm busy asking for enhancements that it'll cost them 40,000 credits to make it worth my time. All in good fun, besides, if they want'm so bad, they should take the time to befriend a doctor or become one themselves.

oh well, happy thoughts.. uh huh.

Oh and another question, do you demand to be paid BEFORE you buff any stats?? If not, what do you do about people who you buff and say they'll pay but just run off?

Personally I have only been "stiffed" once by someone, they did not say they were going to get money and run away, they logged off!!

As for requests for buffs/enhancements I generally do not refuse anyone. But of course if they are a declared Imperial or have Imperial TEF I have to tell them no.

I have gotten the "geez your prices are high, I can get them cheaper than that" I usually just ignore them and go to the next person in line waiting. Under my breath I am muttering to myself, fine you don't want your health buffed by 2500 fine walk away, I could care less

wow, I guess I have been blessed with a pretty good experince with clients so far, no rip offs, no insults, the worst I got was "dang your expensive" he ended up taking a buff any ways.


heh, if it were me, I know exactly what I would of done to that guy that was spitting and insulting you, and challenging you to a duel. Me: "keep talking that jibba-jabba" while I buff up, pull out pets, take some spice, and slap on a power-up to my lovely pistol.

now, we duel

don't piss off a doc, man.

I ask for payment upfront - unless they are a previous customer ie, in person or through my vendor.
