/sarcasm on

Now that you mention it, when I'm not trying to remember my address and phone number, I have thought about it (the reason for the sockets)

as a Doctor, When I have my doc clothes on (med skills only), I'm never in battle (i die quick like that ... dam robes don't hold up), and try stopping those mind shots with that headwrap is dam near impossible. A lot of times I have to fight the crowd back, but my Doc clothes can stand up to that. When I am doing my Doctor thing, What other tapes could I possibly need? defense against blind? Bleeding resistance? Polearm defense? Take cover? Disease Resistance?

I have seperate clothes that i wear specifically for battle. like armor with all sorts of stuff on the pieces. I see the need for sockets there. Multiple types of tapes for multiple defenses. healing in battle does not require skill tapes and i normally don't buff between shots. I'm a doctor.

Why would anyone buy a +14 or +17Med-bioclothing when you can't add to it to make +25?Maybe it's just me and i should just conform and not worry about any of it. After all, I am only paying $15 a month and I should feel fortunate. At least they fixed it so I have to pay to repair my bike now. We need to make sure that works, but there is no mechanism to stop you from doing something that is not, never has beenor never will bepossible. ;-D...

I'm sure it's all explained in the Holocorn

you need to try harder with the sarcasm mate it was a very poor attempt, rereading your post as i type this i get the impression you dont quite understand how sarcasm works

as for the cloths then yes if u PVP alot then wearing a shirt under your armor with +<insert stat ability here>can be veryuseful and seeing as you get no decey then you will not be damaging your cloths, if its PvE then again theres not much that will kill you if your carefull when u fight have the correct food, spice, drink and are buffed, if your going to the CC, geo cave or to fight nightsister elders maybe then yes dont wear your bio cloths even an idiot knows that.

can you tell me what power 1 of your packs are and what u buff with, maybe take a screen shot to show us the power of your 'uber cloths' that dont have this cap, if indeed there is 1

so for exapmle if you and another doc buff someone with lets say a 900 base power buff pack both use a 110 med droid, you use your +83 and the other doc just uses +25 bio clothsneither of you use bivoli are you telling me you will give a higher buff ?

Good question but I don't have a specific answer to that.

What I -do- know is that if I use my 110 droid, and wear my +25 hat, I get a lower buff than if I use my 110 droid and wear my +25 hat and my +25 shirt.

Which would seem to indicate that the answer to your question would be "yes".

As I say, I did try to nail this down precisely by experiment, but I flubbed the experiment. So until such time as I can get around to re-doing the experiment, it's all just anecdotal.

Even so, once I do get around to repeating the experiment, it will only prove what happens to -me-. It won't prove what will happen to someone else. For all I know I could just be bugged.

I know that's hedging the question, but that's really all I can do until I actually have some experimental results to present.

I also think that the idea that you can't add to bio clothes is bogus, because why buy skill tapes?

Well, you can't add the -same- mod to anything which already has that mod.

If you have pants with a wound treatment mod (either a BE mod built-in or a tape added) you can't add another wound treatment mod to those pants. You can add any other type of mod, say wound treatment speed, or pistol accuracy or whatever. But say you add a pistol accuracy mod to the pants, then you can't add -another- pistol accuracy mod to them.

Well there is a limit to what can be done with BE tissues in clothing. For instance, my pants are +16 injury/wound, but -also- have +16 mask/camo (and still have 4 sockets with tapes added for -injury- treatment speed, terrain negotiation, poison resistance and disease resistance) . If I wanted to do without the mask/camo I could have gotten the pants as +25 injury/wound.

My shirt is +25 injury/wound, with tapes for -wound- treatment speed, -injury- treatment speed, terrain negotiation and -group- terrain negotiation (dunno if the group one even works since I'm not a squad leader, but what the hell...).

There are limits on certain clothing to how many BE tissues can be added. For instance I think most jackets can not hold enough tissues to get a +25 rating. Some shirts can, some can't - etc., etc.

Now that is what I call sarcasm.

I don't claim to have uber anything... I'm just looking for a little consistency.

If you must know...

I don't have great Resouces, but this is what I get using my clothes (+25 hat, +25 pants, +17 Shirt, +25 hat and +25 Bivoli with Buff paks that are 830....

+2275 all six stats for 2.5 hours and I seel them for 10k

If I take my Shirt off, I get like 2105 all six stats... If I use no clothes and no bivoli.... +1950

So there you have it and I'm not trying to be a Richard Cranium, but just pointing out some of the little dung that is very irritating in this game as opposed to the great Adventurs and droids and all that great stuff that keeps coming out, but i still can't get on my bike the first time because it always say "exit" LOL.....

But anyway, at least I get to pay for it and do adventures....

ok well then the +80 what ever the cloths add upto are not giving you the 'eatra' power u think they areso you are infact capped

go here http://www.iootnega.com/doctor/faq.asp#q29 <--- copy and past it

scroll up or down alittle till u find the How do buffs work? how do I know how powerfull they are? now click the link to the Interactive Calculator and put in your bio cloths total +bivoli and the pack value, select master doc from the menu etc and then see what result it gives you.. if you were getting the 'full effect' of all that bio enhanced clothing then you would get aBuff Value = 2803, if you change the value of the bio cloths to 25 then you will see that the total buff with bivoli is about 8points higher than you are actually getting, only thing i can think of for that is your bivoli is +24.xxx or something.. but 8 points is nothing anyway
