If you're just going to sit your alt in coro to buff all day, then buy those packs, it'll prolly be a lot easier on your time

That and Sweet Home Alabama must be the two most requested tunes for live rock bands

Nice username, btw... goes well with the AC/DC thought for sure

I much prefer "House of the Rising Smoke on the Stairway to Freebird"...........

Anyway, I know it's possible to gather resources, all I'm saying is that to get the good stuff, you have to be more than just novice. I did scout for awhile, it makes a huge difference further up the ladder in the quality of what you gather.

It's not something I'm actively trying to do right now anyway, since I don't actually buff all that much in SP. I usually buy 10 sets at a time, those will last me a good two weeks or better, even with the free buffs and my own buffs. That might change, though. Once I finish Master Brawler, that should give me some decent fighting skills (not as good as Master Fencer, but good enough), and enough skill points to get some decent scout and novice artisan. I think, I'll have to do the math again later.

The current template I have seems to work pretty well for me, although I'm considering dropping the xxx4 artisan to xxx1 and picking up xx4x TKA (for more strength and the spin attack 2). Even as it stands right now, since I'm only hunting for avian and herb meat, Novice TKA gives me more then enough fighting skill to take out good size monsters quickly. With your own set of buffs and some decent armor, hunting for meat isn't that bad (at least it gives you something to do while the factories and harvestors are working.) It does suck that you can't track down the monsters you want quickly. But for some monsters, getting in a solo group and pulling the missions for the monsters you want does the trick for me (especially for herb meat). Even without vegash, you can pull in a good supply of meat this way.

You also have to kind of restrict yourself to a smaller (and far less pretty looking) vendor, and will have to use word-of-mouth referrals and the bazaar to advertise, but I'm not sure how much of an impact that will have on you without knowing what your plans on owning a vendor are.

Have you given any thought into placing your vendor in a mall? It's instant traffic.

To be honest when I wrote that, I didn't even think of using a mall as a place of operations for a store. However, that would definitely be a great suggestion since it keeps you from having to worry about having Merchant skills necessary for advertising.

Exactly. I'm starting an Alt soon, which will be be/chef, and have some artisan for vendors. I'll place two in my guild's mall (one be, one chef) and then I'll see about placing others in other malls not on our planet, for a little extra traffic. I have two places that have told me yes so far, which gives me visibility on 3 planets.

The one thing you have to worry about when placing in someone elses building is this: if they destroy the building, you lose the vendor and everything on it. So make sure you know them and they plan on leaving the building around for a while, or will at least warn you ahead of time.

Well some advice I can give.. hum... just do what fits you or makes you happy. Making buffs can be hard but profitable... but both is possible

I also fight/craft and hunt, and I am also a steady buff vendor on Ahazi, I am always stocked with buffs...Also a guild helps or hiring others to hunt for you. Where there is a will there is away

True regarding harvesting. I try to hunt in groups for the scouting bonus, but can't always do that.

And better than doing the math, just go here to check the templates.

You know, I completely forgot about that site....... Thanks.

Ok, so it looks like I can do Master Brawler, which looks decent, Master Doc, and 0033 scout, although I might do 1032. I doubt I'll need more camping skills than that. Gather enough resources, store stuff up, then grab Artisan later on.
