Yes - a DE asked for my consent tocustomize my probot (medical droid) yesterday and made it the most godawful eyesore bright red. Only took about 30 store/calls to get it to fade heheh. Back to basic look now again thank goodness.

I have come across this bug several times, I couldn't even experiment while my droid has a chemical crafting station. You have to store it to fix theproblem.

I think one of the reason was running next to a chemical (maybe even any) public crafting station. Maybe there is some kind of clash between both and it makes your droid lose allits special abilities, the medical module being one.

Just a quick update on this...I cross posted this onto the Droid Engineer forum, and here's the reply I got from Rypper...

Actually this is not anything new. Allmodules that use power such as the med mod, the repair mod, the crafting station all cease to function when low on power. What has changed is that droids no longer recharge themselves when stored.

....which is a pain. In my experience the medical crafting station seems to still work while the droid is low on power, but the droid not recharging when it's stored does ring true. I still am not sure if this is an intended change, or a bug, and haven't seen any devs comment on it.

If it is an intended change, I think the duration of a charge needs to be greatly extended, as at the moment my droid's battery habit is costing a fortune (to a poor doctor, anyway). Currently it has become very expensive to wander around town healing people up, which was a great source of xp for me.

cheers

Im having the same problem. Its low power for my droid. This patch has played havic with a lot of droids. Every healer except for 2 I've talked to have the same issue, dead batteries on their droid since patch.

bigger problem than having to use batteries is the PACK SPACE issue... We seriously need more space, especially professions like doc, stims, enhance kits, res kits, state change heals, poison heal kits and crates of each of these, harvested materials, weapons, droid batteries...

God help me if I find anything useful as loot on a corpse, I have to destroy stuff to pick it up!!!

I was in warren this morning and was not able to buff. I did go out side and was able to buff using the droid but as soon as I go in it I am not able to buff or heal wounds. This is the only place it is not working for me.

This is because the warren is considered a building. Enhances go by the same rules as wound healing, so you can't enhance where you can't wound heal. This basically includes all buildings except homes and med centers. You can't enhance in a cantina, for example. You also can't enhance in the squill cave on Tatooine, because it is considered a building as well.

Yep, common problem - I suggest posting on your respective Galaxy boards looking for battery crates and stock up. I bought 3 crates of 25 at 2k a piece. I don't think that the droid loses power when stored, just doesn't recharge. So if you're low on batteries, make sure to keep your droid stored.

With all the bugs going on economy is SO low on my list of things that i think need work in this game. BUGS are just to awful to even worry about the dang economy.

I don't understand whats wrong with it anyway?? In a recent pole on our server forums the averahe user had 10-20k in their account. Thats enough to buy a nice gun and a trip to endor.

A few people have around 200 k (master crafters)

and then a very smaller amount are closer to half a mil to one mil (the uber master crafters - mainly weaponsmiths)

I personally right now have 140k and to buy the armor I want I have to spend all of it. It took me a while to save

I have a hard time understanding how people can be this broke. ok 10-20k = noobs. But people that have finished their char ( >5 skill points left), i don't understand how it's possible to have only 10-20k at that stage.

I mean, you can do missions that give 25k EACH (yes you can still do them on dathomir),

I personally have about 2.5 million and i have never sold an item that i have crafted, took me about 4-5 days to earn doing missions, not even playing full time and PvPing in the mean time too

Granted, they nerfed the endor missions, so money making is about 2x slow as it used to be.. But it can still be quite fast

I had this problem too. I found a DE who had a crate of 5 droid batteries and he offered to just give me the crate. He seemed to think they usually sold for 50 credits each. So I tipped him 5k It was the difference between being unable to operate outside med centres, and freedom.
