Shouldn't be a problem when/if we get the ability to overwrite buffs... unless the devs somehow allow As to overwrite Ds...but they'd never do anything as idiotic as that

The blame should go to the game and not the players IMO, this is a system open to exploit/grief and it is the responsibility of the developers to fix it.
I would think that most people doing this Ninja-Buffing think it is the same as Ninja-Healing, they are doing people a favour and they are getting XP.
Best thing us Docs can do is if we train anyone for Advanced Wound Treatment (The Skill that lets you apply Enhances) we tell them about the Buffs, and why they shouldn't buff without permission.
Always somebody else's fault. Nobody can take responsibility for their own actions anymore.

I think it is a matter of courtesy to ask if someone would like a buff. But its not like your asking to dance with the person or not. But hey Im a Master Doctor and always ask if they would like to buff. (but of course im a teras kasi master, so i dont even do wounds any longer or diesise any longer to folks).
a) treating wounds without asking usually isn't a big deal unless someone is trying to get the HAM"s all black for getting wound treatment exp themselves
b) healing damage without asking is usually a good thing, unless the guy is on fire, there you need to ask and/or butt out unless you're involved in the conflict
c) giving master doc buffs with 870 plus medpacks without asking wouldn't merit such complaint, getting a 60 action buff that will last 2 hours does!
this ticks me off to no end, happened the other day, my skill set is heavily reliant on my action bar. I was in med center buffing myself before going to dath to to join a hunt. I buffed my health and health secondaries, got up, went to the bathroom and came back to find my action and action ssecondaries barely buffed by someone.
I was furious. Yeah i know i can die and start over but thats a pain, i have to contact another doc, meet up with them, get killed and rez and rebuff all over. BY this time the group was already out for almost 30 minutes or so and i missed a good portion of the hunt. ![]()
I used to ninja buff with c's when someone would come into med center and I was there. Never had one single complaint and usually got a tip for it. While using C's isn't as bad as using A's, the A buffs only last about 10 minutes, nothing to worry about prolly be worn off by the time you get on shuttle and get to where you going.
We allknow without a doubt they will make it so D's overwrite C's, C's overwrite B's etc. Its inevitible. And we also know that it will be bugged at first and you won't get xp if you buff someone and it overwrites a lesser one. But they'll fix that eventually.
There will still be people who do a factory run of critical failed enhance D's just to be used for griefing. But that will be rare.
I had a Novice Doctor run by me (wearing my Master Doctor/helper tags), turn around and run back, stop, and stand for a minute. I started to ask "Do you need something hon" when *bam* health buff...124. Yay. I promptly told him *never* do to that ever again to anyone without asking first if they wanted a buff, free or not. Ninja healing in starports = good. Ninja buffing = bad. He apologised profusely. Later that day, I ran into him in Bestine starport, and he politely asked if he could heal my wounds.
I can't believe a crowd would hassle a Master about their profession, especially when correcting a novice. It's just another sad day on the path we get walked on. Erm, walk on. ![]()
This becomes VERY bad in the following scenario:
Master Commando: Hey bud, can I get a buff?
Me: Sure you can.. No set price just tip me a fair amount..
Master Commando: Sweet!
You enhance Master Commando's health by 2734
You are now ready to heal more wounds or apply more enhancements!
You enhance Master Commando's strength by 2389
Master Commando: WOW! pretty good so far!
Master Commando tips you 15000 credits.
You are now ready to heal more wounds or apply more enhancements!
You enhance Master Commando's constitution by 2934
(meanwhile Unknown Novice Doc walks up quitely)
Me: Holy crap, did that dude just buff you?
Master Commando: Hehe, yep.. Action buff.. A whole 134..
Me: Want me to rez you and rebuff?
Master Commando: If you don't mind.
I guess I don't have to explain why this is annoying for you to get it! ![]()

There is no reason that enhancements should not be made removeable by the enhanced player.
There is no reason that enhancements should not be overwritten by more advanced enhancements.
These changes would obliterate the current problem with buffs that causes so much stress, griefing, and arguments among players. SWG game developers need to stop taking the short bus to work. Verant had problems with EQ, but nothing near the idiocy that SWG players have to face constantly.
I am just a newbie Doc and I agree that this is out of hand. At the level that I am currently at I wouldn't even consider trying to buff someone with weak A pack. It would be an insult to them... Getting the players consent sounds like a good thing..
