It is 95. When I wrote this eclipse had 1 Master DE and he was hardly charging what might be considered close to affordable.

thought this might need a bump since there are droid questions again.

Depends where you are. I never heard that about surgical droids, per se, but I ahve found that I can pull out my droid (one of the tracker droids) anywhere on Rori or Tatooine. I think it's just a bug.

BTW, Caves and "dungeons" qualify as a building for purposes of pulling out your droid, but I couldn't get mine to work in one even though it was just fully charged.

Is the 'area effect' of med modules and crafting modules working yet? I don't think it is, but I could be wrong. . .

Something I've noticed: If I'm near a public crafting station (like in a high-level scout or ranger camp that has the food and chem crafting station in it), then pull out my adv mouse with chem crafting, I still can't craft D level items - I seem to be only getting the effect from the station and not my droid.

You can add Lok to the list of places a droid can be pulled anywhere. Just did it tonight.

I heard a rumor that surgical droids could be pulled out when not in camp or in town. Can anyone confirm this? This would seem to be the only reason to buy them over lower level droids that can hold 3 modules.

I can whip out my surgical droid in a lot of places (outside cities/camps). There are some places where I can't. Don't know why tho.

And my droids chem crafting module works for everyone standing close to him.

If there are multiple med droids in the area, will the module affect stack?

No stacking. Sorry.

And the other folks using your driod's craft is there by design, as far as I know.

When asking questions about Medical droids, it helps if you ask a Droid Engineer!

Here's the scoop. To date, a level 6 medical module can go as high as 110. mine do. This is 10% more effective than a clinic.

There are four modulesusableby the medical profession:

Medical Module

Food and Chemical Crafting Station

Level 6 Item storage (10 items) don't get anything less, it's not worth it

Stimpak dispenser (Stim A's only)

Below is a description of every droid and the number and type of modules it can hold:

Basic:

Mse Droid (1 module) 110 Medical module, 10 item storage module or crafting module

Mse Adv (2 Modules) 110 Medical module, 10 item storage unit, food and chemicalcrafting stationor stimpak dispenser (Stim A's only)

(all R series astromechs have the capability of 20% armor resists)

R5 (1 module, same as MSE with higher ham)

R5 Advanced. (2 combat-capable modules) same as MSE Adv except that it has higher ham and accepts combat modules also.

R4 (same as R5, more HAM) 1 module

R4 Advanced (3 combat capable modules) Any combination of modules.

R3 (same as R4, more HAM max 4500) 1 module

R3 Advanced (2 combat capable clusters of 3 modules each for a total of 6) R3 Advanced has the most possible modules of any droid. Therefore you can have a medical droid with 110 med, 10 item storage, crafting station, stimpak dispenser, one combat module and one autorepair module) With 4500 HAM this is a pretty good tank droid because the 109 combat rating is low enough that he won't do a lot of damage, but with autorepair will be able to heal himself. Without a combat module, an R3 will not engage in combat and will run away. R3's require a number of separately crafted components, some needing hard to get resources and thus tend to be expensive, especially when all 6 sockets are used.

The so-called Humanoid droids below cannot be named due to a bug.

Surgical Droid (2 modules and a personality chip) due to a bug, item storage is not working in surgical droids.

Surgical Advanced Droid (One combat capable socket cluster of 3 modules) again, no storage possible yet.

LE Repair droid (2 modules) high ham

LE Repair Droid (one combat capable socket cluster) max ham on an LE Repair droid is 6000 which makes it a very good tank, combined with a med module and stimpak dispenser, it is valuable in the field. LE's have a personality chip also.

Protocol Droid (C3P0 style) (1 socket and personality chip)

Protocol Advanced Droid (2 sockets and personality chip) unless you really like the chassis style, the Protocol droid is very weak as a med droid.

Probot (1 module) Primarily a combat bot, but with one module, like most of the others, pretty much useless.

Probot Advanced (1 combat capable socket cluster of 3 modules and 2 additional modules) The Adv. Probot has the second highest number ofmodules and has a slight combat advantage over the R3 and they look really cool. However, like the R3 they require a number of specific components requiring rare resources and thus are very expensive.

D270 (1 module) a floating Mse with a lttle more ham.and an armor module slot.

D270 Advanced (2module) and an armor module slot)

Binary Load Lifter..(0 modules except for 1 armor slot) I have no idea why they are even in the game.

Adv Binary Load Lifter (2 modules and 2 armor slots) Big, impressive and very expensive.

So, that's the book on the type of droids and combinations available to the medical profession. In order for an MDE to get the 110 medical rating, he has to use very high quality metals, particularly copper and aluminum. These are rare and very expensive, and some of the best haven't spawned in some time. For example, on my server, Chilastra, Idolkiam copper 999cd 999 oq which I use to make my med and combat modules is going for 20 cpu or more. So when a DE quotes you 60, 65 or even 70K for a fully equipped R3 with all 6 modules, it is not overpriced. With a 110 medical module, you're getting the best that can be made in the game so far and that doesn't come cheap and something as simple as a level 6 storage module requires 4 additional modules only craftable by a master artisan.

Hope this clears up some of the questions.
