Once again, great job Zalor! You've hit all of them right in the head.

#1. Money & #2. Enhance Packs

To me these two are somewhat linked. Although I agree it might be nice to be able to find a way to make money, I feel that one of the way it might have helped was thru Enhancement "buffs". Somewhat like EQ's SoW buffs, our buffs are rather nice in terms of their effectiveness and duration ONCE THEY ARE FIXED so that they last as long as it is supposed to last. I can see where people will ask for Doctor buff before they leave the city for a price.

With that I think it would be nice to get Enhanced Pack E which might be slight improvement in effectivenss, but last maybe 10-20% longer. It might be nice if this require all advanced components.

#3. Factories : Oh GOD this would be sooooo nice. Things like increasing input hopper size temporarily on food/chem factory shouldn't be all that hard to implement would it?

4. Resources : I would gladly give up my artisan skills if I was able to survey (Not sample) for harvester placement. It would be nice if master artisan can make a survey device that doesn't require artisan skills.

My personal Pet peeves are advanced components. I know they are effective, but I don't know if I would say they are effective enough to offset the trouble we have to go thru to get them. I think the difficulty of getting the resource is fine, but I think any advanced component made should be ALWAYS much better than regular component regardless of the resourced used.

I.E. Advanced component made with 300 Overall quality resource should be still better than regular component made with 900 quality resources. If we made advanced component with 900 overall quality, it should be amazing, not just merely very nice

ZalMalkel , I cannot really consider reprioritizing te list based on what a few folks, ore even myself, would like to see as the top issues. I was asked only to correlate the data that the Doc community in general seems to be dicussing the most as a hot topic. If you would like to see something become a higher priority for next week, then post threads about it, get people responding and talking about that topic and get them to use the forum rating system to rate the topic highly. All of those thing help to count towards which tpics would seem to be the top 5 for the community in general. I can't really think of any other unbiased way to make the list.

I do post a big list of topics in the order in which they seem to be "hot" every week, usually on Wednesday. If something seems to be in a poor spot then, you might want to start a thread on that topic and see if you can get it bumped up even more. I keep reading and correlating data through around Thursday afternoon and then submit the final top 5 either Thursday evening or Friday morning. (Posting it up on the forum, like this one is.)

Now let me step out of my Doc Correspondent shoes to post my personal opinions again....

I strangly agree with Elenora. I also think that buffs could be a great moeny maker for Docs, but the variability on buffs is a KILLER. That is certainly something I, personally, would like to see fixed.

The huge variance on all meds is a big deal actross the board...

It gets people dead beyond anyone's control. In my experience it is a bigger killer than mind incaps... It never made it very high on the medic forum list, so I put it in as my pet peeve.

Right Elenora, I wish I didn't get so wild variance on usage of medpacks.

On things like Enhance Pack it wouldn't be so bad, you just tell them how much your base buff are (I think I rarely if ever get buff lower than what is listen on Examine), so if your enhace pack say it will buff for 500, knowing that most of times it will buff for 500 - 1500, just charge 1 credit for listed buff, and tell them you gladly take tip for how ever good it come out.

I think this might be a good way to get the word out. Give them low expectation, charge them by that expectation (500 credit per buff isn't so bad in terms of money neither) then when buff actually come out much higher, both of us would be pleasantly surprise and our client will more likely be in mood to tip. (Although I would hate to rely on tip for something I already charged fee for, kinda sound weird)

The problem with timers in general...for range/normal stims, first aid, disease/poison application, buff timers prematurely expiring and persisting after the buff is actually gone is an issue I consider far above the others. Second concern would be the survey one, then factory.

So far the best solution I have heard is to somehow change medical foraging so that it lets medics (and subsequent professions) use survey tools -for surveying only- (not sampling). And as you increase in skillboxes, it would let you use more tools. For example: At Pharm I you can survey for organics. At Pharm II you can survey for minerals. At PIII for Chemicals. And at PIV for water.

IMO almost a good idea

Never let medics innately sample though, and there is no need for them to ever be certified in energy-locating tools. This way the medical professions will still have to go to artisans to buy their tools, to buy their energy, to buy their haresters, but at least we will be able to scout out good spots of the resources we require and plant our own harvesters there. A massive step in the right direction.

this part is not good, the idea makes sence but we need to at least beable to take one sample to check quality of the resource, mabey limit us to a max sample rateof one unit every 60 seconds? i dont want to have to setup a harvester only to find the resource i want in not worth using. we shouldint be able to sample at the rate of a surveyer but any lab student can get a resource sample from the ground.

Id like to suggest something on how we prioritize our issues...

I feel that some of our bugs/issues have workarounds...and others dont. This would mean while something is annoying....we can do something to help ourselves, while other problems gate some aspect of our profession.

Eg:

1. money...can be a big problem, particularily for someone without the ability to do destroy missions on their own. This can be circumvented via selling your skills for tips etc, or selling what you make.

2. Buffs: consider where buffs are needed. Difficult encounters...attribute enhancers help you survive! If you die? No more buffs for j00! If the buffs were well crafted this can mean you cannot perform at the level you are needed for around 2 hours, potentially. No fix, no workaround. Likewise for any form of load while enhanced.

Keep in mind that was an example, i do notmean to show bias there, but there's a point. Perhaps issues with functions/abilities/tasks ... whatever, that doctors are visibly supposed to be able to perform, which we are directly prevented from actually acheiving with no ability to compensate for this failure, should be the priority over inconveniences that while frustrating, do not in and of themselves directly prevent us from performing as a doctor is intended.

The only real issue here is #2 (Enhance packs). Factory issues are present for everyone, so they don't really belong here.

The other issues are pretty much crybaby issues (ie: learn to deal with it).

Like I said, folks. If you don't like the issues that are on this list then start threads about YOUR issues! Get folks on this board talking about and highly rating the issues that is important to YOU and YOUR issues will get higher priority next time around.

While I agree in many ways that there are some very impotant issues I really would have preferred to send in for this list, I have been asked to reamin unbiased in creating these lists. As such I can only guage interest and prioritues based on what topics are being discussed the most, and how well they are rated, during any given week.

So if you don't like the list or the order things are in, it's up to YOU to do something about it. Start a thread on YOUR issues. Keep folks interested and talking about it. Prove to them that your issues is more important than the other issues you think might just be "whining" or else it'll be their issues that are being talked about, and not yours and their issues that hit the list and not yours.
