Thread: Any tips to get crafting XP
To grind CRAFT xp, well:
As far as I understood it, the amount of xp is based on the amount of resources used in the crafting.
Therefore it's not the Advanced Biological Effect Controller (or ABEC as most of you call it) but the Advanced Infection Amplifier that will get you the most grind crafting xp.
The Adv. Infection uses twice 28 resources (resulting in 100+ xp per craft) as opposed to the Adv. Bio that uses twice 18 resources.
I must however admit that i'm not sure at which point/skill level the Adv. Infection becomes available in your schematics datapad, since i myself, not knowing any better at the time, grinded on Adv. Bio's as well
As for med xp, I loved the tumble-way for the following reason:
you set a healing macro:
/healdamage TT:
/pause200;
/healdamage TT;
etc. The pause should near the time it takes the tumbler to drain his action bar.
Your friendly neighbourhood tumbler sets a macro:
/tumbletoprone;
/tumbletostand;
/tumbletoprone;
etc
Set the macros and off to bed or work or whatever you go, when you come back, you've probably capped your xp and are one skill up.
Only slightly tricky bit is estimating how many stims to put in your inventory so as not to be short and at the same time not to waste too many after capping xp points.

As for how this game was MEANT lol .. I doubt it was neither meant to be played sitting grinding for several hrs straight nor was it meant to be played sitting around a medcentre all day waiting for patients
You're meant to gain xp as you go ... which is too slow for most people, who want to get to the good stuff of their chosen proffession fast.
i made macros for crafting adv. dispersal mech. put 4 crafting tools in the last 4 slots of an empty toolbar, then made 4 seperate macros...one for each tool.
i'm not sure what the macro was, maybe if i forget something someone will straighten it out, but here's what i remember (i can't login atm to check)
/uiactionToolbarSlot 11;
/pause 1;
/selectdraftschematic 21; (number for adv dispersal mech for me)
/nextCraftingStage;
/pause 2;
doubleclick on your resources at this point
/nextCraftingStage;
/pause 1;
/nextCraftingStage;
/pause 1;
/create noitem practice;
/pause 1;
/create noitem practice;
/pause 1;
without being able to login, i'm not exactly sure of that but it's pretty close, don't forget that all that stuff is case sensitive.../nextcraftingstage is not the same as /nextCraftingStage
doing this, i was making 840 xp per minute on average and made doc crafting IV in just a few hours.
I did it using ABECs. 84xp per craf. I was running three crafting tools. Buy the time I was finished with third, the first one was ready to go.
I did not start doing that until Med Crafting II though. It's just never dawned on me. I want to say I used some where in the neighborhood of 25k of LWW and Tat FP.
Med crafting 2/3/4 took me the better part of a day, but it was driving me bonkers (I had just figured out the "double-click" on ingredient - No more dragging! YAY!). So I took a break and trolled the boards for a bit, watched a little Weebl and Bob to get my spirits up, then back to the grind.
For the rest of the Doc Xp, I had my primary (Commando) /kneel, then do /tumbletoKneeling in a looping macro. That way he's not tumbling all over the place. Plus, have whoever is doing the tumbling wear a full suit of Comp armor. HAM drops alot faster that way. While my commando was tumbling, I had my doc pull out her rock beetle and challenge my commando to a duel. Stacked three burns on the bug, then had my doc healit. Lather/Rinse/Repeat. Will work MUCH faster if you can get another Doc to buff the bug, but alas, all my friends were off-line. Slackers.

ive just been grinding ABECs like everyone else. takes a long time though but seems like everything usues them so its nice to have a couple hundred laying around at all times lol
for med XP the tavern in AH seems to be THE spot for quick advancement. just stand in the middle and heal the entertainers and people that come through the door. get lots of money doing this also from tips.
I have been going through these same mind numbing crafting attempts as well. Between running crates in my factory to keep my financial stability in tact, it is taking me a while. I normally just sit and grind out ACRD and ABEC until I run out of the resources then turn those into meds. It helps in the overall, for me, to be making progress for my customers while I am grinding out for my future.
Then again, I am not trying to race to MD, rather get there and enjoy the experience.
