Thread: It makes no sense to not let doctors heal mind... Maybe medics, not doctors
Speaking as a Master Doctor / Combat Medic I'm glad mind heal went to the CM's. As a doctor your buffs are going to play a vital role that a CM cannot even begin to compare to. Healing is much easier when someone has stats in the 1k range than in the hundreds just for the fact of regen rates. Add cure poison & cure disease which more mobs dish out and a group is going to clamor for a good doctor to go out with.
Sure a CM gets ranged heals, which I can say I use anymore over doctor stims just because I'm not running everywhere. The mind heal command though is a true double edged sword. I went with some guild mates krayt hunting, there were 4 of us total, 2 MCH's, a Commando/Smuggler, & myself. Most of my group went down to mind incap because it's the one stat not buffed and people get smoked pretty quickly when damage is done here. Now because we were taking on a juvenile & adult each time we pulled, I used mind damage healing to get everyone up ASAP. Although, I would finish the fight with about 240 to 290 mind, willpower, & focus wounds that would have to be healed in camp by our CH/dancer. Towards the end my regen rate for mind was just about trashed, along with any ability to toss poisons if I wanted to. This is a good get out of jail free card, but it's not somethinga decent CM is going to spam around and still be effective.
