To which I say.......HOLY COW ARE YOU SERIOUS? Is anyone else experiencing this rate of return? Who would buy at such a rate? They certainly couldn't make any buying resources at that rate.

If I could sell resources consistently at even a 10:1 ration it would totally make me a moron to continue with my current business practice (well...not totally. running a business is kinda fun)

Getting back to the original analysis of the business plan.

The carrying cost of raw materials inventory is zero although the item capacity is limited by bank/inventory capacity. If you take your harvesting assets and concentrate them when a particularly tasty item spawns and built a stock of 100k crates of highest quality items you would radically change your cost structure and the time demands. It means that there would be a longer lead time before getting ito production but that can be bridged by other sources of income (sales of hand crafted stims, missions, etc.).

For example, under this scenario, you find a nice wind source and deploy 10 windmills there and milkseveral 100k wind energy crates. While this is happening, go hunt or flirt with dancers or hand make some stim B's or learn to dance. When you have enough destroy the windmills and see what berries are best. Thenget 10 micro-farms, shift base to the planet/loc where the berries are and harvest them. Rinse and repeat for each resource type, ie water/organic/inorganic.

Costs

10 windmills - 15,000 + 5x10 days operations@ 800 = 55,000

10 farms - 55,000

10 chemical harvestors - 55,000

10 Vaporators - 55,000

Total Equipment - 220,000

Travel est 20,000

Total out of pocket - 240,000

total resources stockpiled 600,000 - cost per resource - 0.40 cr

Now this is not accounting, just back-of-the-envelope estimates and obviously dependent on many different factors- just trying to illustrate a line of thought.

usually i keep all my harvesters on naboo...with the occational trip for tattooine fiberplast...but otherwise i try to keep my harvesters on one planet...

How do you manage this? I know some people have reported success in buying some resources off the bazaar, but in my experience its not only incredibly tedius to browse & examine each item to see if its the specific type you need, but that by relying on the bazaar you will always be without some critical resource or another.

I do pay a high premium for self sufficiency no doubt, but I'd really like to know how you are so successful in your business without harvesting your own premium resources?

Does your PA help you out in this area?

What i do is I talk to other med professionals and when hre is a good component for advanced comps i will basical power harvest it and store it away...

once i have a good stock of advanced comp resources, i will pull my harvesters back to naboo or tatooine...

basically i have stock piled 500 units worth of advanced BECs and LS in my vault including the resrouces to make maybe 300-400 more of each...

I do sell some advanced packs in bulk to the people with enuff cash to buy them (lol even i am sometimes amazed that people will pay what i charge for advanced packs) but mostly i make normal packs with 800+ OQ materials...i dont use anything less that

so even my normal packs are quite high without adv components...

i think since we are on the same server, you should send me a tell and ill tell you what im currently harvesting...

there is so much math wrong with that post I'm not even going to start on it.
