With the new patch, and the huge HAM costs of knockdowns, Master Doctor / Master Pistoleer is going to be a very powerful class. Instead of costing 152 action for pistol whip (the new value) I can buff my quickness with an enchance D pack and it'll now only cost 52. Along with a stamina buff, by action bar won't budge.

As for the people doing Doctor/CH, I think that with this new patch you cannot heal your pets with conventional stims.... you'll have to get stims made by BE's not sure though, maybe thats only wounds.

Hello all,

Just thought I would chime in. I am a Doc/CH and after todays patch you can still heal creatures with any kind of stim not just bio-engineered. Just logged in and healed 6k worth of HAM on a critter...it works fine.

Even with the Doctor Buffs, the knockdown still does a toll on your mind pool.....that's why I want Mind Enhance Packs

I would ask, what is your primary goal?

Melee classes - won't be able to heal and fight effectively in groups. To heal, you may have to disengage from the mob you are fighting to chase down the patient

Ranged classes - no real downsides, though you obviously can't shoot and heal simultaneously. Not a big deal except in large groups where your the only doctor. Still, when you go chase someone to heal them, youo can immediately re-engage your target.

Combat Medic - not a lot of soloing possibilities. Ultimate group healer (and right now ultimate group killer with area of affect/mind damage over time attacks).

Creature Handler - cansolo (letting the pet do most of the work). In groups can focus on healing while letting the pet do the fighting. Slightly more expensive in skill points (14 more than a weapons class to master). Short of master, not as effective at lower tiers (for example, a 2/2/2/2 creature handler isn't as effective as a 2/2/2/2 pistoleer)

My wife is a Doc/CH she loves it. I love it because it brings a big bad pet to absorb the blows. Just depends on your play style I guess.
