It'll cost you more to produce them, so say goodbye to your profit margin (and all of your time).

Also Janta blood will push your packs up above 1000 power.

I never experiment on charges, I do that with my adv bec's, I do all power and one to med use, to get them to 90.

Let's see, I have 20 static lots, all heavy harvestors, so there is maintenance in them.

I have 8 factories running 24/7, so there is maintence in them.

There is the fact that when you start up, you need to buy the HQ resources that aren't spawned.

Keep in mind I meant making them for selling, not making them for personal use.

You can buy a set for 100-120k that has between 21-25 charges. Sell that set in an hour tops, and make 130k profit (min) then buy two packs, etc. You'll come out ahead, and its a LOT less work.

It takes me roughly two hours a day just to empty all my harvestors, then I have to hunt avian/herb (spent 8 hours just hunting avian the other day) then I have to craft, run all the schematics, and when I sell out, I have to start over.

When I used to sell buffs, I bought them; when I got tired of selling them, now I make them and sell sets.

Darth is correct.

From a game time perspective it is much more efficient if you will be buffing for cash to buy your packs. In the time you spend gathering resouces, crafting, etc you could have been buffing. Take a typical buff pack.

1. Selling price is about 15k for a pack of 30 charges. More or less cost or charges but lets use these numbers for now.

2. If you charge 1.5k per buff the value of the pack will valued at 45k. So the profit is about 30k.

3. Now look at the time. To sell those 30 charges it take about 30 sec a charge when doing a buff line (shorter if you are well organized). So to it takes 15 min to make 30k profit.

4. Bottom line is that you make about 2k per min. profit.

On the other hand to make your own buff packs

A. Your resouce cost is much lower. Lets say you gather everything your self and everything is free. It will not be but just for the extream sake lets assume you everything is free.

B. Like (2) lets say you charge 1.5k per stat. Since the pack is free you make 45k for a 30 charge pack.

C. Now look at the time. You still have to sell the buff so that is the same 30 sec per charge. But you also have to gather the resouces, craft, etc. Lets say that you are a good hunter and it only takes you 5 min to drive out and kill the best avian, and another 5 min to kill the best herb, and only5 sec on average to gather the other 6 resouce types. You are also a great crafter and can make a pack in 30 sec. So the total time to make that buff pack is 11 min. Sure you can make a lot of arguements about these times but I think they give a good ballpark. So to make the 45k it takes you 15 (to buff) + 11 min (to craft) = 26 min.

D. Bottom line you make about 1.7k per min.

The key to all this is that unless you can gather your resouces quickly and on a large scale (avian and herb especialy) it is more cost effective on a cr/min standpoint to buy your buff packs.

Also, if you do have a good resouces supply chain you can make a lot of cash selling the buff packs since you can at that point make more than you can use.

AND when you start producing buff packs in any sort of quantity you havea HUGE start up cost.

It pays in the END, but selling buff packs is a long term profit, not instant like selling buffs.

They both work, and they are both fun, but there are a lot of doctors who don't know what they are getting into when they want to start a "buff business".
