Thread: Will you people STOP normal tipping!!!
so i dont have problems :-P
2) easy to see.. when the moeny does NOT come from bank but from "name_of_player" then you know its fake
3) hmm might try lines, but my droid is called form-circle-plz for months and dont liek to change things lol.. and when i suddenly do a speedroudn, ppl cant move fast enough to stay in range :-P
...and i always have plenty of buffs available (are 40 crates with 30 charges enough?) and when i close my line i have some macros with "X buff spots left ebfore closing down" so i dont have really problems :-P
I have to say that on Wanderhome I almost always see the "line" method. I use it myself on the few occassions that I buff the public. As far as line-cutting is concerned, take my word for it, the people that got cut in front of will handle it. ![]()
I'll tell you what my process is though since I have no complaints at all about how it works.
I have a macro that says how much my buffs are and the stats. Next it says, "Pleaseform a line and DON'T tip untilit's your turn". Lastly it says, "If you TIP before it's your turn, then I'll consider it just that, a tip and you'll still need to pay me for the buffs." Works well and I've never gotten an extra tip.
I also have set the Chat colors to show all the 6 stat names in a different color (RED)and the words tip, tipped and bank to be purple. This enables me to pick them out real quick. Next, I have a macro that does the one-touch buffing and then says "There you go %TT, you're done." The last thing that makes this work well is that I have created two separate new chat windows. One is modified to only show system messages. This is where all the messages will be as to what action you just did (like the "Enhanced %TT's Action... " messages) and the tip messages. No Spatial Chat shows there. The other small chat window is modified to just show /tells. No Spacial Chat shows here either.
This way all /tells show and nothing else.
I know it sounds like a lot of work, and in the beginning it can be. But it's worth it. I can be walking through the Coronet Starport at any given time, and if there are no Doc's around I can be buffing the first person in a matter of seconds with complete confidence.
It's just how I do it folks... the beauty of SWG is that there about 17 bazillion ways to do the same thing.

I'm writing this because the kind of people I'm talking about in this thread aren't total n00bs. I see them with titles like Novice Bounty Hunter or Master Dancer. That proves they have been playing for at least more than 1 week. And even in 1 week, they still haven't figured out that if you want to get in a buff lineup, us Doctors use the Email system to keep track of whom we buff next
It takes months to get of noobism.
