Bah! Dont bother with bivoli when public buffing. If they dont like 2300 power buffs then too bad. Another 100 points isn't going to save them if they get killed with those buffs.

I only ever have enough money for the next case of bivoli/brandy and I only hit the mission terms on Dant when I need the money. I don't do buff queues, but I do buff when peopleask nicely, as long as they don't mind homemade non-matching buffs.

We all play the game differently so I bet there's a similar amount of poor/rich docs as there are for any other template in the game. Just because we can stack up payments of 10-15k quickly by buffing, assuming that I've done all my harvesting/crafting (which I detest but refuse to buy meds, I have always made my own-this way I can charge, or not charge, what I like because I'm not paying 5k for a set) it doesn't mean we're all itching to form a large queue outside Coronet, and from reading the above posts it seems there's a few more docs like me out there.

I enjoy doc for a few reasons. It's easy to set yourelf up when you log on, I enjoy helping other players, I like being in a pvp group trying to keep people alive. Never once have I wanted to be rich.

I just want what I need and I can get it by running a few missions or by buffing some people who ask nicely. If I start buffing outside Coronet with my meds, I'd end up falling out with players because my buffs don't hit 2400 for 3.5 hours or they mess you about with payment.

Making cash isnot worth the hassle to me, it's a game not a job, so I think it's safe to say there's all types of docs out there

Vive le difference (It'd be boring if we all played the same way)

Not bad. I could make that in one day though, and my expenses would be one set of 75k ubese, 1 vk, and 1 pack of brandy. Much less than the expenses needed to buff for 5 million thats for sure.

Ok first,,slow down the bufftime, some are under the impression that there is a steady nonstop line of people waiting to get buffed and talking about 2.5 minutes etc per buff set.

Now first you have to have peeps wanting buffs, then you have to take into account the other docs sellin there buffs in say cnet that will take away customers for shorter lines. If a person is gunna try to calculate properly its best to give some lee way on the buff time, since there is never a perma line of customers waitng for buffs id be generous and bump that 2.5 mins up to say 4 mins just to take into consideration no bufee's and other docs buffing around you,i have seen on many occassions docs sittin in cnet with no one to buff.

Make to much money? lol your out of your mind friend.Pay 250 cpu for avian, say 75 for herb then figure all the other resourcesyou need to make the packs.then figure time to survey the good spots to harvest, time to place harvesters, maintenance, power, trvel time. Then give it a week to harvest, lets go pick up out harvested resources, now place some factories, power them, pay maintenance, let the subcomponants cook for 2 days, now makebuff schem, let buffs cook for a day now sell them lol .No not all docs make to much money.

Maybe the BuffB-tches in cnet make a killing but without someone to make the buffs for 90% of them, they wouldnt be making crap for creds.

Then those buffing docs complainthat our prices of 15k per pack are to high?what the hell is wrong with them.At 250 cpu for good avian on my server thats 5500creds worth of avian per pack,at 75cpu for good herb thats 1650 per pack roughly 7200 creds for the meats alone just for one single pack, not including all the resources and other work involved as stated above, and 15k per pack is to much please.

I highly doubt that statement, what missions 30k janta?how long per mission 10 mins?dont forget the time to go and get rebuffed what 6-7 times in one day,one day meaning a 24 hour period.

At 30k a mission you would have to run 166 30k missions to achieve 5 mill,on my other accounts i have run lots and lots of solo group missions and there is no way 166 can be run in a 24 hour period, ive done the math just to lazy to poat need to go buff a guildy on this comp but you can do it yourself im sure ))

Only way i see you getting 5 mill in one day is finding a nice loot drop and selling, but not off missions,i myself have made 12 mill in less that 5 minutes before lol by logging in at server reset and looting a weaponsmith exp tape that i sold imediatly,so yea 5 mill in a day can happen easily but not off just missions alone.

easiest money i made in swg....

i bought 3 heavy flora harvestors for 80k each (a bargain i know)

found a 70% spot of bogra, a naboo greens that the chefs were hot for.

put about 200k worth of maint and energy into the machines.

this took oh...2 hours. (only have artisan 1, surveying is a pain)

came back a week later emptied them... 20 min.

came back another week later and picked up everything, dropped off at a vendor....40min.

568k @ 7cpu ~ 4m off investment of 200k , 240k up-front investment, and 3 hours of my time.

yes docs are greedy

sheesh

Oh god not another "Docs make too much money". I'm a buff bunny and I rarely top 2 million credits even when I try. Yeah you can make money buffing, but you can make more money making excellent weapons and having a stall in prime position. Last time I spoke to my my weapon supplier he'd just spent 40 odd million buying skill tapes and still had millions left.

People have no conception of what money is on this server, prices are high, money is easy to come by and everyone expects us hard working b'stards to price our buffs cheap.

Well I have two words for all of you who think we are just in it for the damn money!!!!! (EDIT) (EDIT)!!!!!!!!!.

No buff botting here. I buff the public... there is a difference, and I take pride in it.

Anyone can spot a buff bot. Just look for these guys...

"Greetings, Bob Smiley the Human. Your buff will begin shortly..."

"Greetings, Tom Smith the Zabrak. Your buff will begin shortly..."

"Greetings, LeetDood Crestingdust the Human. Your buff will begin shortly..."

You get the idea.

Public buffing involves... God forbid... CUSTOMER INTERACTION! Some (i.e. most) docs don't share my view, and I think that's why some (i.e. most) docs end up getting complaint after complaint.

Ok, i can see how you can take offence to the statement than, i retract. BUT what you call public buffing is what i do myself when i decide to 'interact' with the public, i just call myself a buff bot when i do it. I dont look at 'buff botting' as a negative thing in any way shape or form, but if it offends you, i will lable you a

public buffer *grins*

Bro, i complete a janta mission in 2.5 minutes on average, thats including travel time. i kill a mission in a minute or less.

as for the 5 mil, i make 1.5mil on a 3 hour buff, 1.5x3=4.5 so in 9 hours, which i can play straight, i can make 4.5 million in credits, that is not counting crystals/adhesives/credits/janta dot weapons/hides/heavy duty leathers and other low end dot weapons to sell on the bazzaar. 5 mil is an EASY thing to make killing jantas in 1 day.

If i add up loot/credits i could make 8 mil on average if i kill jantas non stop, i just did this on rancors, i made 3 mill for 9 hours of work on rancors and it takes me 7-8 minutes per mission on a rancor nest.

It's easily possible

I have been making money recently as a novice scout even though I am Master Doc\Master Swords. Cavemen missions get boring after a little while and starport buffing is just not my thing. As a Doc, I am able to hunt anything, anywhere I want. Spent the last two days hunting Mantigrue Screechers (their mind disease is evil but nothing I cant handle as a doc) for their hide. Wasnt harvesting large quantities but its fun.

Guess it all comes down to how one prefers to play the game.
