hehe how do you think I feel as a Doc/BE. If I fail a DNA and stuff like Rancors Agro on me haha its bad bad news. I mean I can't even kill a fynock unless its a 10 min fight doh. Oh well this is a pretty good thread, but I think we are just bouncing back and fourth. hehe The Dev's probably don't even read anymore.

Cons should also take into account if you are buffed, spiced, eating etc etc.

A D-packed buffed novice marksman is evil...

Z is right, probably not in the short term. After the comabt rebalance we'll see where it is then. With hope, it won't be as borked as it is now.

My medic character, Unbuffed and without armor, can kill most light reds (CL very close to yellow) with only good stim B, normal Stim C)... I have novice pistoleer (using ok scout blasters and DL-44 metals even).

My doc character isn't quite as good, becasue I ahve like marksman carbine 1 w/ him atm.

I honestly don't think there is any easy way to "fix" this problem. I mean even with no combat xp, I can probably get slightly worse missions then you can. To be honest, I hate the added chore of running back to mission terminals. When I hunt for meat with my group,we just kill everything and harvest what I can. Then I sell the Extra meat for my "mission reward" I totally agree they need to fix the missions a little bit, and to befrankly I thinkthe mission system is meant to stop exploiters from killing the lair and getting killed/incaped then walking way with the money but not a "Completed" mission. At least thats how I understand it works.

In my mind who really cares if people destroy just the lairs. Atleast there will be creatures for me to kill for meat. Like MCGLONEC said, sometimes its hard to find creatures to kill...so me personally don't really care what people do with the missions. For what its worth though...yes there are problems with the system, but honestly I think overall its ok for where the game sits right now.

I mean they totally redid the BE Profession and now I don't have a clue what does what. I have to figure it out, and that it what is frustrating to me is the total LACK of documentation on changes made....Especially major changes like the BE Profession. I would much rather have CONTENT and a solid story line missions, then a new Con System. lol This game has sooooo much potential, but the devs have to balance potential with bugs, and thats a real shame.

Although it would be nice to pull better missions from the terminals, conning in general doesn't work right (or at least not as well as in some level based games). It will probably never be accurate either considering all the factors that can make or break a fight.

You should just be able to select the difficulty on terminals- and they could probably get rid of conning altogether. Totally useless.

I have an idea which has probably been said or tried.....Perhaps instead of the skills you have determining the missions, its should useUsed Skill points. The only problem I can see with this is the fact that you don't get specials or Defense bonus until you pick up the lvl. And if your like me with no combat skills at all it wouldn't work. But if its done correctly, it really should matter that much. Could be a cool idea, but would probably take a lot of recoding to do it correctly. But heck they just redid the new "Combat HAM" so I can't imagine it would be that hard to do. /shrug

Maybe they will just add a "Pick your difficulty" Tab....or maybe even a ranged difficulty for your current combat xp. Because face it, missions are pointless if you can't defend yourself.
