Thread: Master Medic vs. Master Doctor
i dont really right now its too buggy...
when it is fixed ill pretty much just buff H and A in grps...
with increased H and A substats wont be a huge issue just heal
I think master doctor is pretty nifty.
I also think master doctor will be one of most demanded group member not to far in future.
I also think we will soon find Stimp-E not powerful enough.
My reason (more like wish) is like this.
1) Currently many monsters in high level planet (death-more, Lok, etc) hit pretty hard, hard enough to kill most player in 2 hit or less, but it is nothing a group of players cannot handle.
2) This will make people ask for more "high endgame" content, so developers will give us more challenging planets (in form of expansion pack at $ 19.99 ofcourse) OR they will go creazy and just make all the high mob do creazy damage as well as stun/dizzy like creazy which stupid thing to do, but I have no doubt this will cross their mind first.
3) So people find out only way to tank this bad boys are pet, but CH isn't getting much love, and something like this will not make them any more popular among other players so...
4) they will finally fix doctor buff and give chef some good food they deserve.
5) Now everyone have 3k - 5k HAM, and we are still using lame ol Stimpack - E. But I have hope. In expansion they MUST give us more profession right? or more schemetics?

If all you want to do is some minor field work, then I'd suggest stopping at master medic. You can heal damage nearly as well as a doctor (only downside is you dont have stimpack E), and still have respectable wound healing abilities. It is true you dont get resurrection and buffs, or, in the case of the combat medic, ranged heals and poision and disease. Personally,I love being a doc. However, I've typically played support-type classes in other mmorpgs, and dont mind having to drop my weapon to bust out some healing.
So, to be as useless as possible, I'll say that its completely a playstyle based decision. If you enjoy healing, but would really love to take a more active role in combat, either stay at master medic or go for combat medic. If you'd prefer to go with a more support-oriented character, take doc. Either way, one of the great things about being a healer in this game is you can still master the elite profession based on your chosen style of combat despite having mastered an elite medical skill. Is that neat or what?
Being a doc is great if you wanna be a combat person as well.. I'm a pistoleer as well and they go great together.. Ive got my mind maxed out and once they fix buffs I'm gonna be running around with stats a lot higher, since i can buff myself, than other fighter chars. Throw ressing and self healing on that.. and I love it.
