Thread: 35/390 Stim B's...
My 37/414 Crate of 50 Stim B's have been selling for 65-70K (1300-1400 a stack) on Chilastra, and they sell fast. All Advanced components though.
People ALWAYS cry how expensive my prices are if I advertise at a Starport or something, but I've found in most cases it is for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. They are trying to get me to drop my price by intimidation and making the other possible customers hesitant by claiming they are overpriced. I just handle this with a confident, "No, <insert name here> they really aren't. I can't keep them on my vendor at this price." and that usually shuts them up unless they are just trolling.
2. The person is used to buying lower quality stuff with the same name. A lot of dabblers (med use 5) don't realize the swing in effectiveness and charges between different types of Stim B's. Just explain how your stims provide that much more healing over the crappy ones they buy. When fighting big stuff, most people would rather overheal than underheal....

Also I have found there is a real lack of respect for how hard it is to make a stim of that quality. My last batch was 32/330/5 I was selling crates of 50 for 40k and was getting blasted by most of the folks on Lowca that I was ripping people off.. which is crazy.
At first the market on Lowca seemed to be in line with other servers but then prices took a nose dive. I sold a few crates of 38 charge/393 heal for 50K butI gave the rest to guildmates and focused on selling components to BEs and making crates of enhance Ds.
"I can make these easy with 2 advanced components. I sell them for around 30K on Tarquinas and, yes, I still get a bad rap for it sometimes. Go figure. Now I just keep crankin them out, I'll find a buyer sooner or later, so no worries. 30k minimum, from there it just depends on the time it's taken you to get the resources."
That's like 6.8 cr a resource for top of the line resources. Somebody raps you for that (except maybe another doctor complaining about you underselling the market), its an insta-ignore.
I sell medical supplies at 10~13 credits a resource, depending on the quality of the final product. A 35/390 made with standard crdm's (which I can't make, not until a dantooine berry comes out with decent stats) I'd sell for57k.
Non-action enhance d's get a really stiff premium, due to the necessity of plucking the stinking chickens myself. Hard to hire anyone to kill the **edit** things on Tarquinas. The mission payouts for non-avians is just too high.

On Lowca recently, someone auctioned off 20K of avian meat (very good stuff btw) for 600K+. We never got to hear the final bid before the meat was taken off the market. The last known bid was the 600K and that guy lost. I dare say on Lowca, the rangers and scouts are learning the value of their meat.

They are very nice.. you will have a hard time selling them though. A crate of 50 for 50 -60k easy in my book.. but you need to find very specific players to sell stims like that too..

I stopped using any advanced components on my stims and just crank them lowends out like mad and sell them for less.. now I cant keep them on the vendor.. and i make more money go figure.. All depends on the market you have on your server.
Yes Kris there are people on Lowca like that, but not all. Generally there complaining as someone is selling Stim B's with 40 odd charges and 380 base heal for 40k. I saw this at the Coronet SP. You will find players that realize that make high end Stim B's is not easy and are willing to paythe price.
Yep this is a big demand for econo Stims.
Bria seems to fluctuate, and also seems to be about 50% in the know about good/bad stims. I was selling decent stims like hotcakes on the zar for 1k-1.2k eachfor a while so I bought a factory. As a doc, crates are far more valuable to me because I have so little inv space, so I assumed that I could sell a crate of 50 for 50k. At the starport I had a very similar experience, and was laughed at, from a coupleguys that said they could buy "stims that have 35 uses" for < 30k. His claim holds up as I have seen docs selling great stims for exactly that. I would lose money at 30k, (since I amstill only 3,3,1,2 I have to make up for my lack of skills by uzing top notch resources) so I sell 1 at a time or crates of 5 for 3k on the bazaar, give them away to friends, and generally heal just about anyone I can.
This is a good thread. The thing that happened to me in the starport dramatically affected my sales of resources and everything else on the zar for several days. One guy mouthing off very publicly about you being overpriced, does far more damage than one guy talking about how great your products does good. Hopefully others can learn the easy way. I finally had to lowball my peers on thezarand lose money on things for a couple days just to get things going again, and to convince my happy and faithful customers that I am not trying to gouge them. (byundercutting them Ifurther theglobal problem, but I have hungry harvesters to feed, and can't afford to lose more than a couple days of zar sales.)
As a general rule, I price crates in direct relation to the pwoer of the stim, however skewed my ratio may be. ![]()
For example, I'd sell a crate of crappy-ish 300 base heal stims for about 30k, 350ish for 35k, 400ish for 40k. I know, it doesn't take charges into account, but the majority of customers I've spoken with will pay more for abigger bang on their heals than they will high charges. I go for power over charges on all of my components. YMMV.
