Im glad they took out the ability to recharge a droid in the datapad (I dont turn off my flashlight and expect it to recharge).

However maybe a solution would be an item that can be placed in your datapad that allows you to charge all droids stored in your datapad. This would give one more thing for the droid engineers to build and would provide a decent solution. Also perhaps the item needs a bit of juice every 2 weeks or so and you have to find a droid engineer to "charge" it for you. Sort of like how a generator needs gasoline in order to provide power, this "generator" would require juice from the droid engineer to recharge droids. If someone does not use the droid enough to have to pay the charging fee, they can just resort to batteries.

Also the droids run out of battery a bit too quickly. I think 3 or 4 hours is a fair amount of time to need recharging.

I think this is a good idea. I don't mind using one battery charge for twenty minutes of use, but we need to be able to put at least5 chargesin at a time, and we need to be able to tell how much of a charge remains. Even if they gave us the *low power* message 5 minutes before it ran out that would help a little.

I do want to point out though, thatwhen I store my flashlight Ifully expect it to charge (asI expectof my shaver, my cellphone, my drill, my laptop, and would expect the same of my electric car if I had one). And generally comparing a droid to a flashlight is a bit like comparing a grass shack to a skyscraper, and saying that since you don't expect to find an elevator in the grass shack...

IRL if I ever purchase a probot, I will make **edit** sure that I don't have to take out stock in duracell just to keep it running, I would only buyone:

1) I can plug in the wall at night

2) with solar regeneration during the day

3)Only have to replace the batteries once a year or so.
