Be warned of those who have TEFs and want buffs. If you die because the person you buffed had a tef, and you didnt want to engage in combat....its not the fault of the person who killed you...its the person you buffed. those of you who are not doctors who read these forums...please please please DONT get buffs while you have a tef. i have lost so many brother and sister docs because of this =(

When I buff, if I get a TEF from it, I immediately store my droid, and then tell everyone that the buff line is now on hold 'cause I got a TEF from so and so.

usually discourages the behavior, since people don't like the line being paused for 2 minutes or so while waiting on the TEF

Typically I'll understand the risk associated with buffing an overt..

Sometimes they offer to hang out and protect for five minutes in return for the buff.. that always helps..

I had the volume down so I didnt hear the music or notice I was getting hit. he got in a few good licks before I even had a weapon out and still almost got em. but....he was a rifleman andjust spammed headshot or something, incapped, dead. bah I message telling me I was being tef'd wouldve been nice. I cant tell when I buffing someone who has one.

I dont recall seeing that many overt or TEF'ed people standing in line for buffs. As a rule they know not to do this. Besides just say u wont buff if they are overt or tefed. Simple solution to a simple problem... obviously this requires you to pay some attention but that the price u pay

I guess I'd just recommend being prepared. Make a macro to quickly store your droid, equip your armor and weapon, and consume some brandy, food, or spice. If you set it up right you could combine this all into one button. The second you see that TEF, hit the button and you're ready for battle.

A neutral doc can't treat an overt oracovert with a tef from what I understand. Message reads something like, "It would not be wise to treat this person" or something like that.

i had to ignore a doc that kept telling me how rotten(cusing at me) i am for killing him for his tef, ima master doctor as well and i understand the risk involved in buffing an overt in my faction.as far as a tef giving a tef to somone else, i say too bad, think of it like this...guilty by assosiation. i take it in stride and i wish others would as well...oh well

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

it is not the fault of the person who was overt, but the doc that wasn't paying attention. i will always buff overts but i stop and buff myself first and watch out for anyone that may come rolling in.

in short, if you don't want the tef, don't buff overts. if you decide to buff them and then get blasted to smithereens as a result, don't be suprised and definately don't go crying to the guy who wasted you.

Again I say (this time not in game) in any conflict through out history people in the medical feild of work near a battle are expected to treat all wounded after a battle is decided. That meens all friend or foe. As for buffing I can see a flag going up. I dont like the fact that there is no distinction in the programing between a heal and a buff. Yeah it cuts down the code I know. The problem arises when something like that hapens. Peronaly I stick to med centers for right now any way and any honarable soldier would not start shooting doctors and medics in a hospital. I dont care where you are in the world or what time in history.
Now come the part where people say "it's fiction not reality." I understand that. The point is that we are talking about a civilized socity. Fictional or not, the people would have come about some ethical rules of engagement, and unwritte rules of combat. Stuff like dont shoot a pilot thats bailed out of his aircraft, dont lay morter fire on the field hospital, stuff like that.

I've been TEFed a few times in coronet when the person im buffing turns around and heals the overt whos dueling. As yet i havent been attacked but id guess it will hapeen sooner or later, andI cant really complain its part of the story, it is a galactic civil war after all.
