What if a doctor cannot buff unless in a medical center with a surgical droid?
Now before you start flaming, think carefully and play around with the idea in your mind. What if certain things that doctors can do would be limited by its location, medical centers?
What if the addition of combat medic to ones template would remove some of those limitations?
Im curious what kind of thoughts would spawn from your mind

would serve to make one more profession just a bit less usefull.

you should bear in mind though with what the CB will be bringing, buffs will not be a #1 priority to get before fighting as it is now. At least thats what Ive picked up.

I can probably see where you're going with this, but I wouldn't like it because usually I buff people out in the field after they've died

Im just poking for thoughts here, not stars, stars dont mean anything to me, oppinions do.
Its just that Im currently writing a proposal wich would completely remove the "death and clone system" we have now

I hate when someone 1 stars an auther when I'm the first to post. I don't think it's a good idea but I wouldn't rate the quality of your post or the thought you put behind it. Please don't think that was me.

I don't like the idea of restricting people to one location, and that includes entertainers. I like the way it's meant to be, which is that a hospital should have the highest med rating, then perhaps camps, then droids. That should move people who want the best buffs into hospitals and those that just want some kind of buff can still get their droid buff anywhere, but it should be nowhere near a hospital buff (ie. kill that 110 rating on droids to something like 50).

I'd like to see droids add to healing modifiers, but have very low modifiers if used alone. Med centers should absolutely be the best place to heal. The drawback is that all the crowds and spamming that we now see outside starports will be moved to med centers.

Not necessarily. People still have to come off the shuttle to get buffed and will invariably have to go past the starport spammers to get their buffs... Prime realestate still if you ask me... at the moment they catch everyone including those who aren't getting buffs... if they move to med centers, they're only getting buffees.

Instead of removing the ability how about looking at balancing droids vs med centres?
As it is now medcentres are more or less useless unless you dont have a droid.
And next to everyone has a droid.
But as Nerfslayer pointed out in another thread, this will most likely be adressed in the Combat Revamp along with the adjustments to buffs.

medcentre should effect delays.
having a droid should be a bonus, thats why they make med droids.
A med centre should be as good as a droid at least, but shouldnt be better, or why buy one.

My only question is why are you trying to restrict me to a med center? Dont docs make house calls? I dont want to have to find a med center everytime i want to do something as a Doc.

for the moment doctors dont make housecalls cause nobody is sick enough to not being able to visit a doctor
