I have been asked for our TOP 3 issues/bugs and I have to give it by Wed.


Please list your view of the top issues. I will start adding them to this page. Then in a few weeks we will hold a vote. Here are a few just to get us started. (random order)


1. Can not heal incapped players. ( I believe this has been fixed, will try to confirm)


2. The Hate system results in to much hate for healers creating tanks out of healers. We dont want the hate removed from healing just not give as much weight as damage.


3. Damage healing is not very powerful. (I believe this has been increased in Pub17, Is it still an issue?)


4. Doc buffs are the lowest powered buffs when compaired to food or spice. Would like to get this moved to +20% or at least have the duration last as long as Inspiration buffs when applied by a M. Doc.


5. Our armor cert should give 40% reduction but currenly only gives 30%.


6. The icons for enhancers needs to be changed so that we can tell them apart while they are on a tool bar.


7. Allow the use of enhancers in the primary inventory as the default when using a skill. (like we had when you would /healenhance Health, for example).


8. Create a StimE that can be applied to other players when used by a Doc. (1500ish power but with same timer rules as stims). (This may not be needed if our B. Shot was increased)


9. Add a buff that increases def (like the jedi force aurra) and CoB.


10. Add a buff that increases diggestion.


11. Add a buff that increases Acc.


12. Increase wound healing (more power, shorter cool down)


13. Med Centers need a reason to exist.


14. Nuetral players have a hard time playing a healer as most everyone is faction aligned. Any chance of allowing them to heal anyone in a med center. It is very rare that PvP happens in a med center. Most player med centers are private to prevent non-like faction members from using it (same with cloners and cantinas) so it would not really be abused by players running in their to get healed by a person who can not get attaced as they could not get attacted anyway while safe in a private structure.


15. We would like to get xp for healing wounds. Since there is no practical way to tumble wound to get wounds there is no risk of abusing the ability. Sure a person could go afk and sit in a cantina in heal wounds but is that any different than Ent?


16. Conversion of Clothing mods to something that works.


17. The FS healing line does not provide any bonus anymore to healing speed. Suggest correcting.

My biggest issues would be the damage healingand the wound healing. Those are our "signature" skills as a doctor and we are not that good at it. Maybe the skills are right where SOE wanted them all along, but when they make those skills so good under the old system, they are that much more painful now.


I know it probably won't make a difference, but I think there should be something said about the rez arm and doctors are not included in the cybernetics.


How about xp for wound healing? It's almost too easy for doctors like me to treat people badly (although I have not up until now) simply because we have no reason to help out other people.

Yes, xp for wound healing is one for me as well, along with some of the others already mentioned.


But then you probably figured I'd be saying that.

Bacta Jab enhancer needs to be improved what it effects explained. If they aren't going to increase it's healing effect with an enhance at least let the enhancer decrease cooldown or have enhance jab have a reduced hate cost with it.

As a pre-CU crafting Doc, and post-CU crafting BE, I would really like them to fix Doc so I can actually sell something other then instant stim D's. Mind you, all my post CU resources can only make instant stims, so maybe a long and broken Doc is good for me so I can catch up on collecting resources. Mind you, by the time I collect what would be needed, they will either A) change the resources again, or B) get rid of Doc. I dont think ive even seen a Doc since the CU came out.

My number 1 issue is when my Mage casts Bacta Shot i get a Mob Agro.

2nd Isuue is AOE dosnt break Root.

1. Rez not always working

2. Food, clothing, andmed droidnot making enough difference

3. Wounds not accumulting quick enough in combat (I know on my server I heal people as i run by, but they are rare)

Buffing is stillfrustrating, 2 of Doc skill trees are for buffing, and it's underutilized


If they could increase buff duration to same as say Musician would be nice


So even if they keep it at 10% it would be ok, just as long as it went a few hours like Ent instead of 40 mins

The biggest issue I see with doc as it is now is that nothing we do is really needed or unique. Other professions can provide the same things and often better than a doc can. CMs and jedi heal damage better. Jedi heal wounds better. Food removes disease and poison and gives better buffs. All states are possible to remove without a doc. We cannot craft stims and other medications. There really isn't a point for docs existing any longer (however I will not give up doc for RP reasons). Even other profs that have been hurt much by the CU such as rangers, IDs and entertainers have a unique purpose. We don't.


The other big issue is that docs now have to be warriors. I liked the non-fighting hospital and med crafting docs of old. That FEELS more like what a doc should be doing.

XP for wound healing


The rez arm- I would love to see it out of game but that won't happen, make it about 5 uses, or something so it doesn't replace 90+ SP

I just read some of the posts and the "top 10" issues in the CM and Doctor forums. Oh my god, theyare basically asking to have the same abilities as our force heals, aura, and some of the things from enhancer. Yes, the devs haven't given them anything yet, but how long before it happens.


Is anyone else frustrated with constantly reading other professions wanting to have the same things as jedi. I mean after all aren't we supposed to be 1.5x stronger than any other template?

Ok, now I'm no jedi hater (play a jedi as analt--only way to keep a group healed these days)but this guy seems to have it completely backwards. Jedi stole many of their most useful healing skills from US and now WE would like to see them returned.

Nice list Marrow.


My feedback:


1. We simply have to deal with the rez arm being here to stay. I would like to see a "chance of failure" added to it, however. It would seem as though our rez has that coded in, but with no +your revive has failed+ text.


2. Either tell us there is a chance to fail in rezzing...or fix it.


3. Healing incapped players is essential and should be at the top.


4. I'm not so sure that longer duration buffs is the answer. Do we really want to allow players toneed us less frequently. I understand that we may increase the demand for buffs in theshort term, but ultimately toons will need less in my thinking. Besides, remeber when buffs were 4 hours, and people did what they wanted to do in 2 1/2 and just sat around"finishing off their buff?"


5. Semi-relates issue. Spice stacking has got to go. I've tried to buff for free, and was told to not even bother. They wanted to see the "buffs that mattered (spices)" in their mod icons.


6. I would absolutely love to see the FS Senses tree at least have the text correct. At least let me fool myself that I am better. For that reason, as well...let the clothing mods works. Please.


7. Although I do not need the XP, I'd like to believe there are lil baby future docs out there. Turn on XP for Wound Healing in the Med Centers.


8. Semi-related issue. Before the CU, I was a chef. I think I threw my drink when I saw that Thak and Citros Snow Cake were convereted to serve the same function. I mean, really...if not for docs, seperate the 2 foods so something usefull can be obtained.


9. This is a dicey issue: but...recursive macros.Right now, abuff bot can be set up with both doc and ent skills and buff ALL BUFFABLE STATS AND CHARGE A COVER!! One bot on each major hotel seriously could kill the entire doc profession.


10. There's more...but I gotta stop now. If I go any further I'm gonna need some scotch to comfort me. I think J&B at work is pushing the envelope.
