Is it just me or are the Chefs on Corbantis way too greedy for the Bivoli..
Maybe greedy is a bad term to use but unless the resources for Bivoli (haven't checked)are as rare as Jimmy Hofa's corpse, something is way out of whack.
I used to pay 75k-120k for a crate of 25 +24/3 use/16 min but all of the sudden the crates of same for 250k??
This adds approx 3300 credits to each buff..(assuming math is correct 3x25=75 uses per 250k? results in 3333 credits per use?)
While I dont buff for publicthat muchI guess I can understand why the price of a buff went from 10k to 15k in a hurry on Corbantis.
At this price I can't afford to buff the occasional newbie (decently anyway) or help a fellow rebel at whim.
Can some lurking chef offer an explanation or put me back on my shelf?

Eclipse has been hovering around 250k a crate of those stats for a while now...I've began buffing without it, for convinience and cost...I still hit for 2300 which is more than enough for me, and I'd say 80% of the people.

Mostly 250k here too... It's not really a greed problem, just getting all that meat that is a pain. And they have to pay the BE nutrients too...

Apart from the recent Class 4 and avian, Corbantis hasn't had very good luck in the resources dept lately.
While I have spent millions in this game I'm yet a poor Country Doc taking chickens for fracture splinting and the occasional STD treatment. So spending 325 cpu for the "stored resources" of decent buff caliber is a bit hard. **ends **edit** session**
Makes me want a third toon to be chef!
Oh well.. at least aren't alone in the universe!
**note to self - maybe the 30 million on the +10 Med exper clothes will be worth it..someday**

If you shop around you can probably find Bivoli cheaper. I am on eclipse and whilst chefs in prime locations (corellia, coronet) might charge 250k - 300k for +25 3 use, you can find +25 3 use for 180k to 200k quite easily. You can also get +24 3 use 15mins for 150k. This is widely advertised on the trade forums or spammed in spaceports(not by me..)
A chef may well make you a bulk order (10 crates+)at a discount- especially if you can provide the meat.
I imagine the same applies on other servers.

lol.... I am both a Doc and a chef with one of my toons. I make a ton of money off both. Even before Iw as a chef and paying 300k a crate for that good of bivoli.
Let me break down what is in each bivoli and stats needed to make. Hopefully you will see it is accuratley priced.
1 unit Protato (5 organic, 20 Vegetables stats don't matter)
1 unit Carbo Syrup (6 flora stats don't matter)
30 Carnivore Meat (Stats matter a ton, need 3 stats over 900 for some good stuff, recent spawn on Ahazi cost me 60 cpu)
40 Vegetables (Need real high PE and OQ, usually can find for around 15 - 20 cpu)
1 Heavy additive (some water and main component only a BE can make, crates usually run around 70k for decent stuff, the additive requires 55 units of high quality meat and i think 20 units of high quality veggies)
Keep in mind thats just for 1 bivoli, not a crate. Now I charge 220k per crate for my stuff. I don't think this is ridiculous after taking all in account. Let me know your thoughts.

I think it's all about supply and demand. On Tempest you can get anywhere from 175k to 250k depending on where you shop. I don't think 220k is that bad at all, especially considering the service it provides. If you can charge that much and make a good profit, and sell quickly then I think that's great. If the market supports it then that's probably a pretty fair price. personally I buy all my stuff in my guild's city and it's less expensive since 1. We have lots of vendors competing against each other and 2. It's on Dantooine so the prices have to be lower to attract repeat customers because of the inconvenience and the cost.

Found crate of 25 in Mercator, Talus(CORBANTIS) for 200K. Duty Free Shop I. It may have been Duty Free Shop II. Try there. Mercator has always had good prices it seems like. The chef there had great everything. I am a new doctor and now sure what Good Bivoli is yet. lol But everything else was good.
