"Simple way to end the bank tip scam is to have a dialogue box come up when you're tipped asking if you accept it. The same way the dialogue box comes up for the tiper asking if they are happy paying 5% tax."

This was written by Polish, and i personally love this idea, for if this was implemented it would most definitly put all docs at ease while doing business and make bank tip scam totaly obsolite. Don't think this would be so hard for dev's to implement in to the system.


Anyways lets try to get some attention on this simple issue, so if u agree plz /sign

Although an even simpler solution would be to put back the system message when you get bank tiped (as well as the email). I have chat colorized for tips...if the bank tips would issue a system message (as I believe they used to), I'd catch them all.

Another solution that should be very easy for them to do is for any system emails have the sender listed as *system*

The reason i would like to see the dialogue box is when I buff people for cash, very rarely, I prefer to take the cash when I'm ready to buff the person. That way i don't lose track of who's paid or who hasn't without having to scan my emails all the time. If someone was to tip me before I was ready then i could refuse it. Of course this would help me in the way I do business.



Of course what I'd really like to see is SOE taking a tougher stance on cheats.

Only thing I can see wrong with the idea about having a system message to accept the tip is what if you bank tip someone who is offline then they would have to accept it somehow or it would have to wait until that person logged on to the game, at which time they could accept if they were prompted but the person tipping may have taken some money out of his/her account meaning that they didn't have enough to cover the bank transfer the started x hours ago..


But I'm sure that can be worked around quite simply and wouldn't be a problem when both players were online.. I'm not a master doc yet and havent started dishing out buffs as I'm still in training but..

Something does need to be done about that bank tip scam... I can't believe how long that has been going on for and as someone already said it would just take an e-mail from *SYSTEM* or an actualsystem message to sort the problem out completely..

yeah its neat when someone tips you from another planet when your online, or offline. The email with *system* is a good compliment to that. The box thingy is more like an easier way to "trade" without as many clicks.

But yea.. just put a code in front of the sender's name in the email. Now I _cannot_ see how that would be difficult..

This box would become an annoyance. Besides who in the world would ever click "no"? "NO I do not want your money"


All they need to do is make a simple way for us to identify emails. Playeremails all lowercase regardless system emails all uppercase regardless.



If an email comes and it's lowercase you know it's a fake.


Done and simple.

In reply to someone tipping someone offline then when the tipped person gets on and accepts but the other person doesn't have enough cash, well as now the money would be in escrow and if the tipped person said no then the cash would go back to the tipper.


As for people who wouldn't want to use this then a simple option in ctrl o could activate this feature.


And i'd turn down bank tips if I hadn't asked the buffee to send me the cash. I like order to the way I do things dammit
