New patch out today.

Note to all doctors with factories. The have taken away the free redeeding. No mention of any other fix to factories. This is weird. Will have to check it out when I get out of work. Can someone check if they pull from a crate?

I was wondering about this as well. Just to test, I threw a bunch of crates of subcomponents in this morning and kicked it off. It started running and produced 1 item from the crates before I had to leave for work. I'll check it out over lunch and see if it's still running and report back. But, at least it started well.

They would pull from crates before too as long as you had more than one crate of each component in the input hopper.

Only for a few lucky people crates in factories worked...I have had to put in every stinking little component everytime. I soooo hope they have fixed this, but I'll believe it when I see ti...

If you put multiple crates in and put them in order so you didn't have a BEC then and LS then a BEC crate and started the run 9 times out of 10 it would pull out of crates until it got down to the last crate. The other 1 of 10 ten times when you opened the input hopper, the crates were automatically rearranged out of order for you and you would have to pull the out of order ones out to get it to run.

I have been running 9 factories, all bought at different times and from about 4 different factory manufacturers and they all ran the same.

Guys, it seems to be working.

I put crates in, the factory pulls from it. Even if I put only one crate of each ingredient... havent had to redded yet today!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, I have tried every proposed fix no matter how silly it sounded and still I cannot get it to pull from crates

I'm not home to try it now after todays patch, but I'm hearing from different sources that it seems to be wroking now YAY !

So far so good.

I put some crates in, started production and waited...

waited...

no error message. 30 mins later, still none.

I put in an order for 100 so it'll take awhile before it is finished to see if it worked correctly.

I also tried a 200 order for a subcomponent run. Let's see if it works or if it stops at 100 again. Again, time will tell on this.

for those that may have problems with factories after the new patch, you may want to try to re-deed your factory. also you may have to make new crates of subs and not use any old crates made prior to the patch.

You know, I don't know if this "feature" was designed to work this way or not, but I found something you might find useful in this situation.

When you start manufacturing, all of your choices under the "Options" menu disappear and are replaced with "Stop Manufacturing." This pretty much stinks because you can't see what's been made or what's left for components. In fact, you can't even see what it is you're making. It seems pretty retarded for someone to ask you what the power on your stims is and you have to respond with, "Hmmm. I don't remember and they're in my factory so I can't tell."

However, if you open the radial menu and click Options - don't click "Stop manufacturing" - just click options, it will open your output hopper. There you can see what's being produced. I don't know if it will refresh without closing the window and opening it again (my guess is that it will), but you can actually see things being produced without stopping the factory.

Just a little trick I found. I don't know if it was intentional, but it's useful.

This tip made my day! Thanks, it's great to be able to pop open the factory to be able to see what's going on.

My factory results:

Ran production runs of 700 and 800 with no problems. Was able to interrupt a run, add more materials and finish with no problems.

Did a run of 340 stims, no problem pulling from crates or loose items, pulled stuff from the output hopper without disturbing the run.

No stats on the crates, but the items inside are just fine.

All in all, other than the stats missing from the crates (a cosmetic bug), everything looks great for pharmacrafting

you do know with this trick you can also remove whatever is in the output hopper w/o stopping the factory or killing the current run.
