Greetings

As a Doctor, I can send all my non-mind stats far beyond that of any buffed player (no matter how their stats are migrated), and thus have moved all my points into Mind, Focus, and Willpower. I simply poke myself with the enhancements, and I’m ready to go for just under three hours, never missing the 600 or so points of Health and Action I “got rid of.” If you can afford to keep yourself buffed at all times (it can get expensive), drop everything as low as it will go and big your mind secondaries a boost. To answer the original question:

A healthy balance of Focus and Willpower is best: there’s no reason to have a high Focus (causing you to use less per heal) if your Willpower is bottomed out - you’ll still take forever to regenerate

Willpower is more important, period.

The easiest way to work around fairly low focus is to create a macro that removes all your armor, /peaces, heals/firstaids/ect. and then puts all your armor back on. This removes all your worry about high HAM costs while preforming medic skills. Also, if you really want to take it up a notch, you can add lines to equip all your +med stat clothes (if you have any) in between removing armor and healing.

I'd say if you are a healer as main profession you should max your mind/focus/willpower. aspecially if you are a doctor and you can enhance the low stats. focus effects the cost of healing and willpower regen. lower cost and high regen = best bet for being efective.

I ususually don't have time to group ,but yesterday i wenthunting on dantooine alittle. most of what i did was drag incapacitate outof dangerand heal/revive(not too many times), heal on emergencies(not many), heal pets( most of the time) , and when we camped i pulled out my droid and enhance pets constitution and stamina to save me a major headache. Some guy had some little pet funny looking cat (from corelia i think), called Simba that thing ate most of my stims charges since it was constantly getting clobered even with high con and stamina.

Irecently got some ubase helmet to protect me from getting my brain bashed while i'm healing people. i may look for some high end mabari or chitin for lower ham cost but a helm is usuallygood idea to carry despite the hamcosts.

In battle, willpower is more important. I say that because your mind pool is going to get hit by the mobs or PCs you are fighting and will need to regenerate quickly. If the only hits on your mind are from healing, then you should use the points evenly in focus and willpower. I'm a master doc with 1100 mind (max for my human character), 600 focus and 1000 willpower. I recently fought a BH/SQL who hit me with eyeshot twice before I killed him (thanks mostly to the drain it did to his mind pool). I didn't even notice the mind hits and wouldn't have know he used eyeshot on me had I not looked at the combat spam. If you only plan to be a healer, balance them. If you plan to also do some fighting then put more into willpower, it will help keep you alive.

I said many times above willpower is the key to keeping yourself and your groupmates up longer. That's why as Master Doctor / Master Combat Medic you see me AoE mind poison followed by AoE willpower disease. The disease is aimed strictly for rebel medical people to keep a big crimp in their healing capabilities. Once the medics are out of commision the battle is soon won.

Focus is more important, having 1500focus = all medical actions costing 0 to 1 mindpool, you wont have enough time to "regen" your willpower during battle/fights. Eating 2xryshcate and 1 breath of heaving will give you about +1000focus, think about it.

And yes you will be doing lots of dragging incapped bodies, reviving, healing, wound curing, curing disease poison, and you will run out with low focus

Willpower is the most important in a fight. The faster you regen, no matter what the cost of the medical action, will be negated by the fastest regen of your mind pool. Focus definitely comes into play but when seconds count saving 100 mind vs regenning 100 mind will help in the long run. You have to keep in mind, Focus does nothing to help your mind pool if someone is using specials to deplete your mind pool.
