Please stop this, I know that getting medical exp takes alot of work, but you are interfering with the master docs' main source of income.

Ill give you an example, I was selling buffs in coronet, and I had 4 customers in a row that I couldnt buff some of their stats due to someone buffing with out telling them. Now they are stuck with crappy buffs, Im stuck with refunding money, and some of the time they get angry at me for something a ninja-buffer did.

I finaly found one of the ninja buffers cought in the act, just like the load killers, she was buffing people as they loaded in from shuttle trips.

oh I wish for player bounties, all I could do was make a scene and let her know that it wasnt a good thing to do.

isnt there anything that can be done about this? not to mention "dood flame my pet so I can heal it"

maybe Im just on my high horse, but I think this is total crap, and its exploting the game for exp just so someone can grind through doctor. I dont need to mention the fact that I onl y saw this development since holos started dropping hints, but I will anyways

From what I understand they are planning on letting us overlay buffs soon, that will solve this problem. Even if we change the /healEnhance to require us to be grouped with the person to buff them.

I also believe after the patch today you won't get medical XP for healing wounds on pets anymore.

I did that in my day. Yes, I did. Am I sorry? A little. I went on to buff (LD) folks for practice. I did that all months ago. Ninja buffing isn't new. It's also not polite.

Now that I am a Master Doctor, I find it offensive that people are accused of "crappy buffs." A buff without permission is one thing. I understand that. We shouldn't do it. But "crappy"? A buff is a buff, whether it's 200 or 2000. We are all Doctors, whether we are Master Doctors or aspiring Doctors. Belittling each other's abilities only divides the profession.

And that's my high horse. Nothing personal.

You should need to be grouped to buff or require some kind of interaction from the receiver, much like the entertainer buffs. Target needs to be watching/listening to the performer to get the buff.

I thought the patch notes only removed getting exp for healing bleeds from pets. Because it takes no components to cure bleeds and its pretty good exp, you can just duel and bleed all day. Healing wounds still require the wound packs.

I still think people should get exp for whatever they heal, healing buffed out players dueling and just shooting health or action shots all day is no real different to healing pets.

They should just reduce the exp to 25% of the exp you get for healing players. Those wishing to grind will still find cheesy ways to do it, the bulk of the healers pay just because a handful abuse everything.

I've healed about 5 or 6 bleeds from a pet ever, only when my pet was inflicted with them. Nor everyone abuses everything you could possibly abuse.

(someone) rolls. (someone) rolls. (someone) rolls. Again and again. That's all I see in my combat chat box. It's so lame. But hey. There is no way to fix it that I can think of. But the buff thing can definitely be fixed like the others were saying. Having to be grouped to buff is a great idea. I'm assuming the Doctor correspondent knows about this?

Ok so they will fix xp gained from wound healing pets. WIll they ever be able to do anything about the macro tumblers? I was in chat with a CSR the other day and I reported it thinking it's an exploit. The csr's reply...

lol

Oh no!!!!!!!

How upset would Combat types who had to earn their skills be if they could just AFK macro with a friend all the way up 3/4's of a profession.

"How upset would Combat types who had to earn their skills be if they could just AFK macro with a friend all the way up 3/4's of a profession."

every profession has ways of macroing exp. The only reason the combat professions aren't the best at it is because their exp actually scales up for their skill lvl.

Docs exp scale up, but nothing like a rifleman.

But honestly I don't know what the big deal is. I can't say I'm really that impressed you got Master doc the "legit" way if you did. Everything in this game right now takes time, not skill. Someone that can play the game 12 hours a day can master a skill 6 times as fast as someone who works and plays 2 hours a day. That doesn't make the 12 hour player any better than the other person.

Relax. Sheesh.

People are going to find the best way to optimize exp. It is in our nature. Finding easier ways to do things is what has defined our race. We invented the wheel, automobiles, airplanes, and computers to make thing easier. No one complained when tractors were made. No farmer said "You are cheapening our profession, put away that tractor and get the mule!!".

Not everyone wants to roleplay an avatar that is struggling to become proficient at his chosen profession. That may be your choice but do not try to impose your desires on others. I have not used a single holocron but I plan to continue to "power level" through what ever profession I choose. That makes this game enjoyable for me.

I agree with your point regarding "ninja-buffing" as you so eloquently put it. That is wrong. Grouping to buff would solve this.

As far as combatants exp scaling up better than Docs....be glad that you don't need 150K, 250K, 350K, 450K exp respectively per tree.

as a receiver and not a buffer, i am highly offended by anyone who buffs me without permission. it's very rude. it means i have to die now to clear my buffs for the buffs i was getting in the first place.

a quick death and rez will fix this, however, then you get the potential for more wounds and or BF. just don't buff without permission.
