The ability to heal wounds and buff in a player city cantina basically makes medical centers inplayer cities useless.

Please tell me what pc med centers are good for and why should anyone go to them and NOT a cantina (where they can just heal their minds AND there bodies, it's one stop shopping)

No one understands the registering by a Doctor in a med center...

Do we really get some sort of bonus in a med center?

I can do better with a droid standing by the shuttleports! Anyone else see a problem?

It's killing RP imho.

Its simple. You can also heal your mind in a Med center. Not only that, but I don't camp out in a cantina so people end up coming to my hospital anyways. AND I would much rather have a hospital that costs 3 lots and holds 250 item vice a small house that cost 3 lots and only holds 100 (or whatever it is). So yeah, not much point of having a PC Cantina if there isn't any medics/entertainers in there. Me I will never camp a PC Cantina, I like my hospital, and I'm gonna use it.

Who the hell goes to a hospital anymore to for healing? As one of bria's first dr's I stopped going there long ago. No cash to be made at all, most people are cheap...

Yeah the player cantina's rock. In my city it's become the central gathering place for the entire guild.

My Med Center only gets business because we haven't erected the cantina yet. Err ..any master dancers wanting to move to Nairimbus, Corellia?

I don't find it a big deal. I'll just hang out in the cantina and heal/buff.

I never have a shortage of people in my hospital. Most are people from my guild true, but I never have a shortage of nonguildies either. So don't know what to tell you all....I'm making money in my hospital every day.

I fail to see how it would kill RP. Surely if someone is RPing they would use the Medical Center whether it was more/less efficient or not, they'd use the Med Center because that's where people would naturally go to heal!

You could say why furnish your house, it is just one big backpack anyway, right?
Playing a Doctor, I'd consider it something rather impressive if I ran my own hospital, just like say a Creature Handler that tames their first Rancor or something, something to be proud of.

I'm not sure on the numbers, but for wound healing don't PC Med Centers have 110 Healing bonus, and I'd assume a PC Cantina does not have this bonus? Again I'm not sure but I would assume this to be true.

Well instead of just stating a fact, like, "People come to mine! lol duh, I don't know about you!, uh huh, durrr...."

Be helpful, and tell me WHY they come to your hospital,

because any dope knows it's faster to heal if you are in a Player Cantina getting your BF,mind, and body wounds healed AT THE SAME TIME.

Now tell me again? Why should I go to a Player Medical Center?

LOL go to the cantina then.

People use player med centers as auto heal locations because all stats are healed. Or if they know the doc is there. Register so they know you are there, but they would rather get healed and watch a dancer at the same time.

Its biggest perc for us is the fact that it is 3 lots and 225 storage anyway, which is a better use of lots because a small or med house is 2 lots and 150 storage and because of the storage cap to get over 150 you would need 2 smalls or mediums to get 300 storage but use 4 lots.

In the PC I live in my med center is next to the cantina, see if you can move yours there.

People come to my hospital, becausemy guildput a ban on healing in the cantina. If a person is caught healing in the cantina we warn once then cityban ban the person if they do it again. But if you wanna get down to the nitty gritty.....the cantina and hospital do the exacty same things; they both auto heal ALL stats.As I'm in a RP Guild we just banned healing from the cantina. The cantina wasnotdesigned for even if it, even if itsa nice perk. I personally don't really care, I would rather go hunting all day then sit in a hospital healing ignorant people that don't tip unless you charge upfront. My guild makes in known to all visitors that healing in the canitia is not permited, UNLESS its a stim job for the Ents, this is the only exception to the rule.

A player cantina does not auto heal mind, but a med center does. In a player cantina the mind healing is left to the entertainers.

ahh well thats good to know. Still, the use of those building is left up to your city. We set certian rules up like: no healing.

so it doesn't ruin the RP piece of the game. We set up rules about leaving your pets and speeders out everywhere, which is fineable. Its all about the people in your city and how they like to do things. This game (dispite the buggs) is TOTALLY awesome. You can do almost anything you want to do, and the freedom is why I will not just quit this game because of bugs andignorant people. So yeah I have fun with this game, even though sometimes its not playable.

Here's an idea to make the player med centers more popular and relevent. Bacta tanks.

The logic follows. Bacta tanks are mentioned regularly in the books and movies as a valuable healing tool. Make them architect craftable, player med center placeable only by a master doc and maybe a MCM. Give them extreme healing and buffing bonuses. For example, any buff given to a player in a bacta tank gives the maximum enhancement possible considering all factors like BE clothing and droid quality. In other words,a perfect roll. Or have varying qualities of bacta that affect the amount of bonus.This would give you an advantage over the doc who is just buffing outside the starport with thier droid and give customers a reason to show up in your med center.

As I remember, bacta is a fairly rare material in the galaxy, so obtaining it should be difficult as well. Maybeit is harvestable only rarely and for a short periods of time.Maybe have missions where smugglers can attack and intercept shipments of the stuff from the empire or rebellion. It could possibly even be bought with faction points from faction recruiters.

Just a thought.
